The Winning Edge - Recap

The episode opens up with a pan from the skies of Gotham to a weapons van that parks in front of a Jokerz gang. The man opens up his truck and he shows the Jokerz the guns. One Joker member picks up a gun and fires it. Batman then comes in and begins to beat up the gang. The man who was selling the guns then gets tied up by Batman. Then, the cops come and take away the bad-guys.

Bruce and Terry are in the Batcave talking. Then, Terry yawns.

Terry is asleep in school, and he gets in trouble by one of his teachers. The teacher gives him a failure to perform disk, and he has Terry take it home to show it to his parents.

Terry and Dana are watching a game. The Coach is yelling at a kid for messing up a pass. The kid walks away from the coach and he puts on a slapper. He re-enters the field and the game begins. Masion checks the man on the other team through the wall of the dome that they are playing in. Terry notices something is wrong.

Dana and Terry are talking outside of her apartment. Terry walks away as his cell phone rings. Bruce tells Terry that someone has broken into an electronic store.

Inside of the electronic store, one of the men that are stealing the stuff is looking at a pair of goggles… The swim suit edition to be exact. Batman breaks up the little theft when he begins to attack the thieves. Masion walks away from the fight and puts on some slippers. He punches Batman and throws a satellite at him. Masion throws Batman into a pile of television sets, and the gang walks away. Batman gets out of the TV.

Chelsea is talking to Masion. Chelsea discovers that he is using slappers. He tells her that he doesn’t have time for this, and then Chelsea walks away.

Mason waits outside as a car drives up to him. He gives the man money, and he gets slappers instead. He puts on one of the slappers. Terry watches as he does this.

Batman is going through the lockers of the school. He goes into Mason’s and he steals the slappers. The Coach comes out to see Batman and he begins to beat up Batman. Batman kicks him, and the coach throws him into the arena. Batman is the coach’s leg up and hits him into a wall.

Terry walks home to see Matt on the coach. Mary tells Terry she knows about the disk. Matt goes through Terry’s backpack to get it. Mary sees slappers fall out of his back-pack. Mary thinks that Terry is using them and she is giving him a hard time about it. Mary grounds Terry.

Terry is telling Bruce that he is grounded. Bruce studies the slapper and he discovers that it is made of venom, and he sends him out to have a “talk” with his enemy, Bane.

Batman drives the Batmobile up to the location of where Bane is being held.

Batman takes out one of the guards to the facility. Then he makes his way onto the roof by shooting a grappling hook. One of the orderlies gets tied up by Batman. Batman asks him where Bane was, and then the orderly sends him into a room. Batman notices that Bane is on oxygen. The orderly tells him that he was like that because he was on venom for too many years.

Batman leaves the facility, and then Batman asks Bruce (a rhetorical question) who is making the venom?

Mason isn’t feeling good due to the fact that he hasn’t used a slapper in a while. One of the guys gives Mason a credit card, and he gives it to Mason to buy a new one.

Mason waits for the car to drive up to him. When it does, he goes up to the door and he gets hit in the arm with a batarange. The car drives away. Batman puts a tracer on the car, so he can find out where it is going.

Batman follows the car as it drives into the old Gotham herald building. Batman gets out of the Batmobile.

The orderly from the facility drives up into the herald building. Batman is talking to the man behind it all (he has no name) and the man puts on some slappers. He engages Batman in battle, and Batman and him begin to fight. Batman gets slapped into a car by the man, and then the man begins to go after Batman some more. Batman grabs a pole so he can have a harder impact on a hit towards the guy. Batman turns on the slapper machine, and the man gets more slappers put onto him. Batman gets thrown into a wall by him. To retaliate, Batman blinds him with some chemicals that get sprayed into the eyes of the man. The man causes an explosion and the man gets put into a vegetal state… like Bane.

Bruce and Terry walk in to see an angry Mary Mcginnis. Bruce tells her that they where getting the results of the clinic test. Mary is happy.

Bruce and Mary watch the news, Bruce looks over to Terry as he and Mary talk and they see that he is sleeping. Bruce leaves, and Mary puts a blanket over Terry.
