Recap
Lee is still in disbelief at the sight of Kara in her brand-new Viper flying beside him. In the CIC, their conversation is heard, and a very emotional Adama demands that her recognition codes be verified and after confirmation, demanding they be double-checked. Helo believes it's her voice, but Roslin is skeptical and that it is a Cylon trick. But before the situation can sink in, Cylon Raiders are detected to be inbound. Kara and Lee fire "weapons free" into the Raiders, but the reserves break through and head for the fleet. During the melee, Tigh finds himself calmly pulling out a gun and shooting Adama in the right eye, to his and everyone's horror. However, Tigh snaps out of it and finds Adama barking orders at him to get "everybody that's ever held a stick" out into the fight. Though still dazed, Tigh relays the order. In the hangar deck, Tyrol gets the Vipers ready, though Anders is worried that he will sabatoge things, but Tyrol tells him to "shut the frak up" and, as Tigh said, be the man he wants till the day he dies. Sharon overhears the end of their conversation, but both realise that she is oblivious to their newly discovered Cylon identity and perhaps the other Cylons are as well. Meanwhile, during the chaos, the three women usher Baltar to an unused compartment on
Galactica, passing by Connor, a New Caprica resistance fighter, who recognises Baltar. The battle in space continues with a wounded Raider spinning into and destroying the
Pyxis, which Roslin notes had 600 people onboard. A basestar fires 50 missles, half headed for
Galactica, which it can handle, but the other half is aimed at the fleet, so Adama orders they all be intercepted. During the fight, Anders tries to shoot a Raider following Seelix, but his weapons won't fire. The Raider then turns from Seelix to Anders, its pulsing eye focused on Anders's right eye, the iris flashing red, at which point it and the other Raiders break off and return to the basestars. To everyone's confusion, Gaeta reports this and that they've spun up their FTL drives. Taking advantage of the situation, Adama orders the fighters to return. Tigh questions outloud why the Cylons let them go, at which point Tory suggests that "something's changed."..

Episode Quotes
Tigh: They had us. Game over. Why the hell did they let us go?
Tory: Maybe something's changed.
Roslin: Like what?
Tigh: I have no idea, Madam President. No idea.
Adama: (referring to Kara's return) What should I believe? Should I believe my heart or my eyes?
Lee: Dad, what if Zak had come back to us in that Viper? If my brother had climbed out of that cockpit, would it matter if he were a Cylon? If he always had been? When all's said and done, would that change how we really feel about him?
Baltar: Please, God. I'm only asking you this one last time. Don't let this child die. Has he sinned against you? He can't have sinned against you. He's not even had a life yet. How can you take him and let me live? After all I've done. Really, if you want someone to suffer, take me. We both know I deserve it. I have been selfish and weak. I have failed so many people. And I have killed. I'm not asking for your forgiveness, I'm just asking that you spare the life of this innocent child. Don't take him. Take me. Take me, take me, please.
Paulla Schaffer: You see? Gaius, I knew God wouldn't desert you. I mean, I felt His love course through me, giving me the strength to smite them.
Baltar: A little less smiting next time unless you want to be held up on murder charges.
Anders: If you were a Cylon, then you've been one from the beginning.
Kara: Like Boomer. Spend my entire life thinking I'm one thing.
Anders: And then you wake up one day, and discover you're another. Still doesn't change who you really are. Still doesn't change the fact that I love you no matter what.
Kara: You are a better person than I am, Sam, because if I found out that you were a Cylon, I would put a bullet between your eyes.
Episode Goofs
Although clean, Kara's Viper has standard text on it even though when she returned at the very end of the previous episode, it was blank.
Seelix's hair is different - a little longer and perhaps even darker - than it was when we last saw her in "Crossroads", part 2, which took place less than a few days ago.
Cultural References
The title of this episode is Biblical reference. Taken from John 11:25-26 of the King James version of the Bible:
Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
