I am casting my vote for Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell) as the 12th Cylon.

Other than a gut feeling I think she is the 12th because, she is so ruthless about executing Cylons. Also, when she was on the cancer drugs she had visions of Cylons. Like I said, it is more of a gut feeling.

I think Dualla is the 12th Cylon. She encouraged Adama to re-unite the fleet and continue the search for earth, which the Cylon also search for.

I like the idea of the 12th Cylon hasn't been shown yet, maby some one on earth?
If not it would be kinda fun if it's Lee Adama with his ties too all the key figures in the show..
Maby I should get startede on the original Battlestar gallactica show, see if there is a hint there
Has anyone seen the "The Resistance (Webisodes) " ?
I'd like to hear if they're any good or just a waste of time.

Ron Moore said there is already a hint in the show that everybody overlooked.
I don't think it's linked to the old show though.

It can't be Laura as Cylons are immune to cancer, it can't be Bill Adama as this would make no sense (he was around before the skinjobs, see the leaked info about the new show Caprica). It also isn't Kara as everybody expects her to be a Cylon.

It's probalby either Felix Gaeta (as the other four he now has his own song) or maybe Ellen Tigh as she is under my suspicion since Baltar didn't reveal her test back in the first season.

Anyway we'll know for sure in 2009.

At this point, I've pretty much given up trying to guess and just anticipate watching things unfold. The writers are starting to throw in suspects. In "Faith" Kara claims to hear music, Anders makes a deal out of Gaeta singing, and Baltar seduced Tory under constructing a metaphor based on music. However, the writers also led us to think the astronomical description Kara had seen was in the Solar system, so these could all be red herrings to distract us from the real suspect. Again - I've given up on the guessing game.

I can only offer my path of logic: The Significan Seven were all introduced as Cylons upon their first appearances, then four of the Final Five were revealed to be supporting characters. So I think the last Cylon has to be a very major character. I'm going to be pissed if it turns out to be some one-shot character who we haven't heard crap from since Season 1. My only real suspects are Roslin and Zarek. Roslin because of the various curiosities surrounding her while Zarek has been very manipulative. Kara and Baltar have several factors in their favour, but from a creative stand-point, this would seem unfulfilling. I think Dualla is a weak suspect given how she has had no more than a whopping five minutes of screentime this season so far. The Adamas are the least likely suspects since the punch needed to deliver the surprise and all the consequences that goes along with it would be hampered by trying to explain why one is a Cylon, but the others aren't (remember: Cylons are not clones of real people).

By the way: I can't shake this suspicion that the last Cylon is fully aware of what they are and have been doing various things to propagate their agenda in secret. This doesn't really help clues since we really don't know what goals the Final Five have and where they intend to head things. It's part of this big chain of logic about the Final Five's ties to Earth, but there has to be a good reason as to why the last Cylon is being left in the dark - both from us as well as the other four secret Cylons.

Baltar is more like a tragic character who's not really in control of his own destiny. He's more like a pawn really. I think his character would suffer too much from being a Cylon, this is why I think he isn't one.

So I'm in the dark as to who the final Cylon is. Here's what I do think tho:
1. Kara or Baltar would be too obvious. I feel like if it was either one of them it would more take away from the story than add to it.
2. I like the speculations of someone like Dee or Zarek. I think it would be cool if it was more of a secondary main character that most people totally didn't see coming, and then if they did some sort of flashbacks that highlighted clues that we missed.

I also like the concept that Morning_Star put forth about the final knowing who he/she is and going out of the way to stay concealed the whole time. I'm really drawn into this season so far.

I've seen "The Resistance". If you're sitting around and looking for something to watch, it's probably worth it. I don't think you're missing out on anything critical from the storyline by not seeing it tho.

Unless the "clue" that's already been dropped was in there and I didn't notice...

I also just read an article on www.ew.com that suggested the Doctor (Dr. Cottle) might be the final...

That would be cool.

Indeed. I remember when Natalie dies she reached out for someone and Cottle grabbed her hand. That was powerful.
And Cottle also said in one of the New Caprica episodes that everybody is the same - a patient - for him.

I was wondering if maybe its a bit of a trick. I think it's possible that there are no humans. Everyone is a Cylon but no one (Cylon or "human") knows it, humans were wiped out millenia ago...
