Description:
David Hasselhoff (Knight Rider) is Mitch Buchannon, a single-parent lifeguard who is the mentor for a crowd of hip, young, attractive lifeguards as they come and go, keeping the beach safe for the masses. The series' simple premise caught the imagination of teenagers and family audiences alike and the show launched the careers of numerous hotties that would go on to cause heatwaves, including Billy Warlock, Erika Eleniak, Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Donna D'Ericco, Carmen Electra and Tracey Bingham. Viewers were not just drawn to the show by the lifeguards battling the elements and beach crime; the public were captivated by the chemistry between some of the lifeguards, which often sent temperatures soaring and which kept the public guessing.
