Lynn Kerr decides to pack up her family and move from their home in New Mexico to New York City when one of her daughters, Sophie, is awarded a scholarship to a highly prestigious school. In New York, Sophie starts school, but quickly finds out that the "beautiful people" run the school, and they're none too impressed by Sophie.
