Rabies Scare - Recap

Beavis and Butt-head are walking down the street eating nachos, when they approach a house with a dog chained out in front. The dog breaks its chain, and runs up to the boys, growling and baring its teeth. The boys drop their nachos in surprise. They're trying to decide what to do, when the dog bites down on Beavis' leg and shakes it, dragging him to the ground. Butt-head just stands by and laughs.

Next, Beavis and Butt-head are in class, asking other kids if they want to touch Beavis' exposed bone from the wound. A kid actually does touch it, causing Beavis to shriek. Another student wonders if Beavis has been foaming at the mouth, so Butt-head pops a couple of Alka-Seltzers into Beavis' mouth, then pokes his wound to make him squeal, causing the tablets to foam up.

Mr. Buzzcut walks into the room, pissed off. When he sees the boys misbehaving, he storms over to see what the problem is. When he sees the dog bite and the foamy mouth, he kicks Beavis out of class, and tells Butt-head to take him to a hospital. At the hospital check-in, Butt-head tells the receptionist that Beavis' name is Rodney Munch.

In the exam room, they play around with the sterilized instruments and medical equipment as the doctor walks in. The doctor tries to be friendly by playing the old removable thumb gag, which doesn't impress Butt-head. The doctor tells them that they'll have to find the dog that bit "Rod", then dissect its brain to determine if it had rabies. He asks "Rod" about his symptoms, and when he determines Beavis probably doesn't have rabies, Beavis pops a couple more Alka-Seltzers and declares he does have rabies. Seeing through this, the doctor tells "Rod" he'll have to get 18 painful shots in the stomach as rabies treatment.

Beavis and Butt-head are watching TV - Beavis with a huge bandage wrapped around his stomach and leg. They watch an educational show about rabies, which tells them that the stomach shots are no longer required for rabies victims - that just five shots in the arm are now enough. Beavis and Butt-head are amazed the doctor didn't know about the new treatment, but the doctor is in his office with the needle, laughing at the name, "Rod Munch".
