Episode Quotes
Dr. Floss: How about your parents. Your mother, for example. How do you feel about your mother?
Beavis: Um... like this? (moves his hands as if hugging a large woman) Kinda like this.
Butt-head: That's not how I feel your mother.
Beavis: Shut up, fartknocker!
(The boys are fighting over a purple lollipop)
Beavis: Come on, Butt-head, I always get the grape!
Butt-head: (on top of Beavis, and holding the lollipop out of reach) It's not gonna taste like grape when it's up your butt.
Dr. Floss: Now, I'd like you boys to look at these ink drawings, and tell me what you see. (holds up an inkblot that is just a few random splotches. The boys laugh) What?
Butt-head: It's like this dude... and he's, uh, you know... auditioning his finger puppet. (laughs)
Beavis: Yeah, yeah.. He's shining his helmet. (Both boys laugh)
Dr. Floss: I see.
Dr. Floss: And how about this one (holds up a very splattered inkblot, and both boys' eyes go wide)
Butt-head: Whoa! Leave a little for next time, dude!
Beavis: Yeah, yeah. He's really like, having a tug-o-war with Cyclops. (the boys laugh)
Episode Goofs
When we view the psychiatrist's office from above, the jar of lollipops on her desk looks as if it has around ten pieces of candy in it. But when Beavis goes over to take a lollipop, the jar is completely full with several dozen pieces of candy.
Cultural References
Visual: Sigmund Freud
Dr. Floss has a picture of Sigmund Freud on her wall above the couch where Beavis and Butt-head lie down. Freud is the founder of psychoanalytic psychology, and the boys lying down on the couch while they talk to Dr. Floss is another reference to Freud's psychotherapy techniques.
Visual: Julio Iglesias
The psychiatrist shows the boys an image of a singer holding a microphone in a sexual pose, and it is signed, "Love, Julio". This is most likely supposed to represent singer Julio Iglesias, the best-known Spanish singer in the world.
Visual: Rorschach inkblots
Rorschach inkblots are shown to people as a psychological evaluation. A Swiss psychiatrist named Hermann Rorschach created 10 specific inkblots and the measurement that accompanies them.
