Liar! Liar! - Recap

The Burger World manager is counting the cash in the till, and Beavis and Butt-head are saying random numbers to throw off his count. He figures out the cash register came up short.

In the next scene the boys are sitting in the office of "Big Eye Systems", an employee surveillance company that uses polygraph testing. Beavis keeps repeating that he didn't do it - it was a foreigner, and he tells Butt-head he's "practicing" to convince people he didn't do it. Butt-head tells him they're probably going to take a PoliGrip test. Butt-head says it's a lie detector test, and there are tricks to help you pass it. He tells Beavis he's heard you can hold your breath to fool the machine.

Butt-head gets called in first, and he's hooked up to the polygraph. The doctor gives him some instructions, and asks if he understands. Butt-head says "yes", but the polygraph beeps red, which means that he's lying. Then Butt-head says "no", and the polygraph blinks a happy green, indicating truth. Butt-head sucks in a large breath and holds it, and turns red in the face. The test administrator asks for his name. Butt-head answers. The lie detector blinks green. The man then asks Butt-head how many fingers he's holding up, to which Butt-head answers "four", and he's turning redder, and looks as if he's about to pass out. The man asks Butt-head if he's ever stolen anything, and Butt-head is now turning purple, then completely collapses from lack of oxygen.

Beavis is called in, and is hooked up to the machine. The doctor asks Beavis to say something, whatever comes to mind, just so he can get a base reading. Beavis starts babbling about how he killed a bunch of people one time, and the lie detector blinks green.

On the TV news, the announcer says police have finally captured the Inna Gadda da Vida serial killer from 25 years ago. They show a photo of Beavis, and say he's the "Hippie Ripper" who killed sixteen hippies in 1969. Butt-head laughs at the story, and doesn't seem to realize they think Beavis committed crimes that happened before the boys were even born.
