Beavis and Butt-head are in Mr. Buzzcut's math class, and they are unable to answer any questions about the lesson. He takes them to Principal McVicker, who agrees that academically, they don't belong in 9th grade, and sends them back to 8th grade.

In the 8th grade classroom, they're still not comprehending the math, and Butt-head tries to hit on an 8th grade girl. The teacher asks them a math question, and they can't answer.

They get pushed down to 3rd grade, and they have to sit in the little kid desks. The can't answer the 3rd grade teacher's math questions, either. Then they're sent back all the way to kindergarten. The boys sit in a circle with the little children and listen to the teacher read at story time. Then, they sit at little tables and color picture pages. When the teacher comes by to offer juice and cookies, the boys take a bunch, then spit them out, because they suck. The teacher tells them that spitting spreads germs, which gets Beavis hyper, and he starts spitting even more. When the little kids see that, they begin emulating him, spitting on each other as the teacher looks on, horrified.

In the elementary school Principal's office, the kindergarten teacher threatens to quit if the boys aren't removed. They don't want to send the boys back to preschool, because they'd just be back in a year. The Principal takes them back to the high school, saying they were star pupils, but McVicker tries to keep them out. The elementary principal refuses to take them back, so they return to Highland High.
