Dr. Tom happens on Erica and she asks him what to do and he gives her the opportunity to go back to school and change another regret.

Erica thinks she's got it all figure out so Doctor Tom decides to send her back in 1969 when her mother was 17.

Erica jumps on the chance to change what she did and he sends her back.

Dr Tom happens on Adam while with Amanda. He doesn't want to lie to her but he's under an obligation not to tell anyone what he really does for a living.
