Being Human is a British drama series following 3 unlikely roommates, a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost. We follow them going through life desperately trying to fit in and lead a normal life "being human".
The first two series takes place in Bristol while from series 3 and onwards they have relocated to Barry Island in Wales.

  fantastic!Rating: 3 likes, 1 dislikesThe plot of this show doesn't have to be longer or more detailed (figured you read the plot already). just the thought of bringing these supernatural factors into one show, creates an atmosphere of mystery and curiosity. the pilot of this show aired February 2008, but it took almost a year before they started with a full season. I have not seen this pilot, but it is not needed either, as episode 1 starts with the beginning. in the first episode you get introduced with the characters, and get their back stories. you get a little flash of how Mitchell was 'sired' or 'turned' into a vampire, you see a flash of George getting slashed by a werewolf, and you see Annie walking through her own flat at her own memorial. the show is perfectly paces, and the individual stories of each episode has their own connection to the main plot. some episodes are about George and his 'time-of-the-month' problem, others are about Annie's problems of not being able to move on to whatever comes next after dying, but mostly, the show is about the vampires plotting and conjuring some sort of master plan. Mitchell, the vampire, is on 'the wagon', as he has stopped drinking humans. episodes balanced more over to his side of the storyline is more or less about him struggling with being clean, and doing what he believes is right. a lot of vampire cliche's are kept, other dismissed. same with the werewolf and the ghost theories, like for instance if a ghost can go through walls? can they be seen by people? do they sleep? is a werewolf able to control himself? does a vampire burn in the sun? all these myths we have been fed over the years of ghost tales, vampire vs. werewolf stories and movies, all of this and more is featuring in this show. Rating: 2 likes, 0 dislikes George, Russell Tovey, really cements this show; his acting is superb. The Wolfman per the original movie, was angst ridden with grief over his predicament of turning into a wolfman during a full moon. George captures this splendidly. His transformation's are done so well; the direction, cinematography and Russell Tovey's acting are perfect. I squirm, I'm horrified as George goes through the physical and mental pain of it all. Interesting, but...Rating: 1 likes, 3 dislikes Unique plot, but for the same reason I couldn't stand the old werewolf movies, I don't care for this show. It's the "poor, pitiful me" syndrome.
