When Dylan’s car breaks down, the owner of a near-by ranch takes him to her house to use the phone, and surprises him when she offers him a permanent home on the ranch. After a terrible performance, David fires Steve for letting him go on without a sound check. Meanwhile, Steve worries that the janitor will turn him in for the break-in at the school and Brenda and Kelly make up after their fight.

Episode Quotes |
| |
Kelly: Well we all have our crosses to bear.
Brenda: Or our legs to uncross. | Anne Beresford: Horses get bored if they're always ridden by the same person. | Brandon: What a senior year. Scorned by our lovers, abandoned by our best friends. It's a regular Elizabethan tragedy around this place. | Dylan: Without the strings, you're not tied to anything. | Yvonne Teasley: You know Steve, you don't know a megabyte from a megaburger. |
