• Pete Bennett seizes Brother title

Pete Bennett has triumphed as the winner of Big Brother, taking home a prize of £100,000.

The 24-year-old Londoner beat Welsh lifeguard Glyn Wise to take the title for the reality show's seventh series.Nikki Grahame took fifth place in tonight's final. Aisleyne Horgan Wallace came third, and Richard Newman fourth. In sixth position was 18-year-old sales adviser Jennie Corner, from Crewe.

Channel 4 will be hoping to top the 7.8 million viewers who tuned in to see last year's final, in which 1970s dancer Anthony Hutton claimed victory.
