Big Love is a show about family, albeit an atypical one and explores the institution of marriage in today's society.
Bill is a polygamist businessman with three wives: Barbara, Nicki and Margene. He also is the father of seven children. They live in adjacent houses with a common backyard, so Bill is on a regular rotation with each. The only problem is that polygamy is illegal in Utah where they live and has been banned by Mormon Church.
Bill quickly discovers that his life is about to become more challenging when one of his fathers-in-law, Roman, who happens to head one of the most powerful polygamist communes where his parents live, wants Bill to give the commune more money after he decides to open a third home improvement store.

Not what you would expect...Rating: 4 likes, 0 dislikes This show is nothing like what I was expecting going into it. From the previews and the hype I was anticipating an annoying wannabe family -drama revoloving around the religious and annoying sect of polygamist. But being an HBO series I had to tune it for the first episode atleast (I try to check everything out). But something very odd happend after watching the first episode - I wanted more. Big Love Comedy/Drama?????????Rating: 2 likes, 0 dislikes This was a novelty if not a bit ridiculous, but with the label comedy/Drama that's about the funniest thing about it, This show has went from mildly interesting to totally unbelievable not to mention a total BORE but then its is American what can you say (only in America) THANK GOD lets hope it stays there.
