Four close friends are at the top of their game, until women in their lives shake things up -- James Walker, the moral of the four, nearly loses his job after a corporate shakeup, and when things couldn't get worse, he learns something terrible about his wife. Brody Johns, a senior VP at Alpha Crisis Management, learns that his corporate status will mean nothing if he can't throw a lavish birthday party for his wife. Karl Mixworthy, a CEO of a pharmaceutical company, has both a wife and a needy mistress who is taking up all of his free time. Lastly there's Duncan Collinsworth, a divorced CEO of a cosmetic company whose personal life is nearly damaged by a vicious rumor.
James decides to do whatever he can to save his marriage, but more pressure is thrown in the mix when new suspicions arise concerning the death of his former boss. Duncan tries to woo a beautiful reporter in order to put an end to a potential career-ending article she's writing. Wendy, Karl's wife, has Marla join them in a couples' therapy session. Lastly, Brody works to spice up his sex life with his wife.
James has issues getting back into the dating scene. Duncan learns that his name is featured in Dontrelle's "little black book" and goes to Brody for help with the situtation. Meanwhile, Karl and Marla learn that a private investigator has given Wendy photographs and Terrence offers Cameron a job.
James falls head-over-heals for a beautiful consultant, much to Katie's dismay. Duncan finds monogamy to be difficult as Fashion Week approaches. Wendy tells Karl to go out with Marla, a company chemist. Meanwhile, Brody tries to hunt down Dontrelle's black book.
James learns that his ex's boyfriend is hanging out with his kids. Duncan and Lisbeth's relationship is threatened when blackmail gets in the way of their romantic weekend. Meanwhile, a therapist orders Karl and Wendy to have sex.
Duncan plots to win Lisbeth back by planning an extravagant gesture, but is crushed when he learns she's dating Terrence exclusively. James continues to be attracted to a TV anchor, despite her bad review of James' job performance. Karl begins to worry about Wendy's yearn to get pregnant.
Duncan's reputation begins to get in the way of a deal for Reveal, so he has Cameron help him to appear to be a better father. James tries to fix things between his girlfriend and Katie. Meanwhile, Brody's father-in-law arrives for a visit and gets on everyone's nerves; Karl has issues with Wendy wanting him to sleep with Marla; and Cameron tries to cope with Zack's news.
Duncan does all he can in order to get back his title at Reveal. James puts all his attention toward a custody battle when he learns Stacey is moving to California. Meanwhile, Karl confronts his high school bully and Brody tries to be a poet after finding poems written for Janelle by her former lovers.
Duncan focuses all of his attention on stealing a model from a rival company.
James and Katie cannot agree on whether to divulge their budding relationship. Meanwhile, a public-relationship problem has Duncan and Terrance at odds. Also, Brody is undecided about going to bat for a ballplayer.
Lisbeth takes over as head of Reveal. James and Katie try to mend their relationship. Karl and Marla break the news of their affair to Wendy.
