In moves that suggest at best cautious optimism, NBC has ordered three more scripts each of its new dramas Bionic Woman, Chuck, Life and Journeyman, and CBS has ordered four additional scripts of its plantation soap opera, Cane.

As first reported by E! Online TV columnist Kristin Dos Santos, the script orders do not mean the five series are guaranteed to make it through the season.
