I know I'm a little late in discussin this episode, but a few things bugged me.

The whole "It's not a baby" issue is problematic.

First thing, if it was a "normal" liquid, i.e. not from a supernatural origin, it would have warmed up to Vanessa's body temperature and would not show up as cold on Blade's heat scope.

Second thing, even if there is some plausible explanation for why it is cold, it would certainly feel "weird" to Vanessa. Ever eat or drink something cold and feel it going down into your stomach? Odd feeling, right? Imagine that feeling inside your whole pelvic region! Add to that the fact that there was no movement or kicking from the baby. At the very least, she should have been concerned about the status of her baby. But she still thinks it's a (healthy) baby when Dr, Lambert does the ultrasound. Sure, she's a first time mom, but I'm a dude who's never had kids or been around pregnant women too much and even I know better than that!

Next, the idea of Chase regenerating skin is junk! We've seen vampires in the series as well as the movies who have scars and burn marks they gained while vampires and they never healed. What, didn't they have enough blood available to be able to regenerate fully?^o)

yeah the baby/sack of liquid was dumb. i agree it should have not been cooler.

as for her not noticing that the baby was still, who knows. they had to pass over something and this is it. if she was concerned and did go to regular check ups with a doctor and he assured her everyting was fine, i can see her not noticing. it's not like it's her baby. she was only doing it for the money if i'm not mistaken.

as for chase regenerating, it's gone both ways. in the first movie, didn't stephen dorf's right hand man get severely burned in the begining and he regenerated? he also grew back half an arm. there's precident for her skin growing back. what's the point of having that hottie with burn scars all the time.
