Episode Summary

We met the main character Ichigo Kuroaski, a boy that has the ability to see spiritual figures. His life changes when he meets a Soul Reaper (Shinigami) named Rukia Kuchiki, that is doing her job in tracking and slaying a spirits named Hollows. Well tracking one, she ends up in Ichigo's room.

After a brief conversation, the hollow Rukia was tracking attack the Kuroaski house. Wounded Ichigo's sisters Karin and Yuzu. Rukia tries to slay it, but Ichigo gets in the way and Rukia protect Ichigo, but injuring her self to the point she can't fight, she transfers her powers into him, and thus beings the story.

Episode Notes

Rukia states she is at least 10 times older then Ichigo life time. Even though later on we find out her age range is about 120 years old.

Hollow: Fishbone D

Shinigami is basically like the Grim Reaper of the US. Even though Shinigami has not been used in the dub, they go with Soul Reaper.

Japanese Episode Title: Shinigami ni natchatta hi 「死神になっちゃった日」.

Episode Goofs

The episode title doesn't match the dubbing translation. The episode Title should have been A Soul Reaper is Born. Shinigami is the Japanese term, but they have never used that term.
