Smack Attack - Recap

The scene opens at a party and a girl named Caitlin is welcoming everyone. She keeps looking at a boy named Billy who has brought his new girlfriend, Allison, to the party as well. Billy tells Allison that it is alright and that Caitlin is over with him. He tells Allison about a new drug called M-Cat. She tells that she doesn’t know about it and two other boys come over and say that they will try it too. Meanwhile, Jamie is giving a ticket to a woman talking on her cell phone while driving and Renzulli tells that it is all in a day’s work. They get a call for a loud and disorderly conduct complaint and they head over to it. At Frank’s Erin is going to a Gala with Frank and leaves Nicky with Henry. She is not happy. Meanwhile, Sgt. Renzulli and Jamie arrive at the house and Caitlin answers the door. She tells that her dad will be right back and there is screaming inside. One of the girls is trying to wake up Billy and the rest of the group of kids that took the M-Cat. Jamie rushes to Allison and tells that she has a fighting chance and gives her CPR.

Frank and Erin arrive at the Gala and J.T. tells Frank about the teens that were found dead at a party from a drug overdose. He tells Frank that Jamie saved one. At the hospital, Allison wakes up to find Jamie standing over her. He tells that he saved her life. She wonders where the others are and Jamie is silent. Danny and Jackie Curatola and Jamie tells that Allison knows about the others. Curatola asks what the drug is called that she took. She tells that it was M-Cat and Curatola asks Allison where Billy got the drugs and she tells that she doesn’t know. She tells that nobody talks to her. Danny goes in the hall and tells Jamie not to worry and tells that he did a good job. Jamie gets a text from the agents about the Blue Templars. Erin walks with Nicky and she is asking about a movie that she wants to go to. Erin decides to allow her to go. Nicky gets a text and tells that 3 kids overdosed on drugs from St. Andrews. Danny interviews Caitlin with her dad and he asks her where Billy got the drugs. She tells that she doesn’t know. They tell her that they can try her as an adult and every kid there for possession of an illegal substance. They ask her again and she tells that someone at school sold the drugs.

Danny and Curatola go to St. Andrews and the priest there and vice principal tell that none of their students are into heavy drugs. Danny tells the priest that they want to search everyone’s lockers and he tells that he is going to have to talk to his higher power and Danny tells that he will talk to his “higher power” too. Frank goes to visit a priest at a church and tells that he needs the clearance to search St. Andrew’s lockers and he tells that parents are going to be outraged. Frank tells that he will get a court order and the church will be shown in a negative light again. The priest agrees. Danny and Curatola search the lockers and find a locker that belongs to Wayne Foster. They enter the class that Wayne is in and he tries to crawl out the window. Curatola gets a call that two more kids overdosed and are dead which makes it a total of 5 kids dead from M-Cat. They sit Wayne down and Wayne tells that he didn’t sell it to Billy and Danny asks where he got the drugs and he tells that he got them off TurboList. They go to a listing and Wayne tells that the title of it means that he has drugs for such a price and they place an order for $500 and they get a message back and they set up a sting.

Curatola and Danny wait outside the drop off and a bike messenger drops off the package. Danny asks who sent the package and the man tells it was the bike shop. Danny walks up to the bike shop and a man by the name of David Carvell runs. After Danny catches him, they go back to his shop and find a drug lab going on. They find the M-Cat there too, but David tells that his stuff is pure and that he has repeat customers. At the station, Frank gets told that he has meetings and they have the lab results. At a bar, Jamie meets with Danny and they have a beer. Curatola comes in and tells that she has bad news. The lab results came back and the drugs contained Potassium Chloride. This ingredient could stop a heart within seconds. Jamie tells that they use it on death row inmates. Curatola tells that David is off the hook because they ran the test for his and there was no trace of Potassium Chloride. They need to know who would want to do that and Curatola thinks that Billy wanted a bigger high and Jamie tells that someone wanted someone dead. Danny gets a call. He tells that Allison has been clipped by a car trying to run her over. They arrive at the scene and Allison doesn’t know who would have done it but tells that Caitlin has a “Hate Book” and that all the girls have one. They write down people they hate and why. She doesn’t remember the car, but it had a bumper sticker on the car from St. Andrews.

Danny and Curatola go to St. Andrews again and find Potassium Chloride at Caitlin’s lab station and Danny finds her “Hate Book” that Allison was talking about. They sit down with Caitlin and her lawyer and father. They show the book and her father is shocked. Caitlin tells that Billy only wanted sex and so she broke it off. They question her where she was and she tells that she went shopping and tells that she tweeted the whole time. The family meets for dinner and Jack asks about the drugs and Henry tells that he took Danny and Joe to “the tombs”, or as the normal calls it, jail. Danny tells that he and Joe were taken in the jail cells and were told that was where people go who do drugs. Nicky voices her opinion about the legalization of drugs and how the world be a better place. The rest of the family tells that she is off base, but Jamie agrees with her. She gets upset when Erin doesn’t take her serious and walks off. Frank walks up to Nicky and she tells that Erin was crying the whole time going to Frank’s house on the night of the Gala. He tells that she was thinking of her mother. At the station, Curatola pulls up the Tweets on Caitlin’s Twitter account and she was telling the truth. They go back to the school and look at the cars, they find one that has the bumper sticker scratched off and the front bumper wiped clean. They run the plates and it belongs to Vice Principal Carol Hoffman.

They sit down with her and she tells that her and Billy had a relationship and that he loved her. Danny tells that Billy couldn’t stand her and needed to get high just to stand to look at her. Carol admits in putting the Potassium Chloride and tells that she just wanted to kill Billy and Allison. They escort her out of the school in front of all the students. Later, Frank meets with the head priest of St. Andrews and he tells that he is going to have to hold a press conference and it is going to be hard. Frank tells that he will be right there next to him as well. Later that evening, Erin gets to Frank’s and Nicky is there with dinner made for her. They are all her favorite dishes and Nicky tells that she is thankful for her. They toast to Erin’s mother and they pray.
