After Hours - Recap

The scene opens at a dance club and Richard King, a famous doorman there, is letting people in and refusing people. A man gets upset and tells that he is going to kill King and that he shouldn’t have turned him away. Meanwhile at Danny’s home, he is rough-housing with his two kids go off to bed and Danny is watching the night shift this week. At Frank’s house, Jamie, Frank and Henry are hanging around and Frank gets off the phone with Jimmy Burk and Henry tells that he is a slithery person. Frank leaves and Jamie asks Henry why he hates Jimmy. He tells that Jimmy took two bullets for Frank. Jamie asks why Henry has a dislike for someone that saved Frank’s life and Henry ignores him. Later, Danny and Curatola jam in the car and Danny is in a good mood. King is at the club and suddenly he is shot.

Danny and Curatola arrive on scene and the officer briefing them tells that no one saw the shooter and the heard one shot. Danny sees the video camera and Curatola asks if there is someone they can talk to and he points out Sabrina, the club owner. She shows the surveillance video and Danny asks if she knows anything about King and she tells that he helped get the club on the map. Danny tells that the doormen are the real celebrities because they are the ones that are going to let people in and out. They ask if there was anyone who wanted to kill King and Sabrina tells that there was a Vince Walker that threatened him. Danny gives Sabrina his card and tells her to call if something comes up. She writes her number on a cocktail napkin. Frank meets with Jimmy and Jimmy asks if Frank would bump him up to Chief and Frank tells that he will consider him in the running. Erin comes in and they sit down. She says hello to Jimmy and they sit down for coffee. Meanwhile, Danny gets out of Vince’s apartment and tells that they missed him, but Curatola tells that he rented a helicopter and is going out of country. They arrive on the heli-pad and Vince comes out telling that he didn’t do it. Danny jokes and tells that he is free to go and when Vince tries to leave Danny grabs him. At the station, his lawyer tells them to go to Hell and hands him a business card.

Hell is a dominatrix club and they enter and the dominatrix that tells that Vince was there starts to flirt with Curatola to which she is not impressed. The lady shows a video of Vince being dominated and they leave. Meanwhile at Jimmy’s interview, Frank enters and asks him questions of the job to which Jimmy nails it with no problem at all. Danny is home when the kids and his wife get out. She finds Sabrina’s number on the cocktail napkin and Danny tells that it is for work. Later that evening, the family is reading fortune cookies and it is all fun until Frank talks about bumping up Jimmy Burke for the position and Henry tells that Jimmy was a cheater. Danny tells that doesn’t make him a bad cop just because he cheated. His wife asks why Danny is good with a man who cheats on his wife. Danny gets a call, it is Sabrina and she tells that something came up. She tells that he needs to come to her. He turns around and his wife asks who it is. Danny tells that it is a witness and she tells that she is just a witness and that is it. Danny leaves and Frank asks if she wants to talk and tells that she is his daughter too.

In the car, Danny calls Curatola and tells her to meet at the club and she tells that she can’t because she is going to meet with Bernice. At Frank’s, Jamie tells that Sidney and him called off the wedding and that she is in England for 6 months and tells that he hasn’t been with her in the same way since the job. Frank tells that it was his mother’s wish to not be a cop, but Jamie decided to do it anyways. He tells Jamie to follow his gut instinct. At the club, Danny finds Sabrina and she walks off. Meanwhile, Curatola meets with Bernice and she tells that King and her met on the road and they hit it off, but King started gambling and racked up a $100,000 debt. Back at the club, Sabrina tells that she needs to let him buy something for his wife and she tells that she found King’s cell phone. All the calls are from Lemon. She tells that he needs to dance with her and he agrees. Curatola walks in and finds him dancing with Sabrina. Danny walks out and Curatola tells that he needs to chase the case and not the skirt. He tells that he got an address and the task force go in and arrest Lemon.

They take him to the station and he tells that he forgave King’s debt for a business venture in a club and that he would work the doors and they would have made number one in a week. He tells that King broke the news the night he was shot. The next day, Erin walks from work and Molly Griffin stops her and tells that her granddaughter was mugged on the stairwell and that Jimmy Burke marked it off as Harassment. At the station, Danny and Curatola talk to Sabrina and she admits that she was upset at King when he told that he was leaving. Her lawyer protects her from self-incriminating herself and they leave. Danny’s wife is there and she brought lunch. She sees Sabrina and gives her a disgusted look. Erin walks into Frank’s and tells that they need to talk about Jimmy Burke. At the station, Danny gives his wife a riske dress and she is not happy because she has never worn something like it. She is disgusted when he tells that it is a new style. She tells that she knows that his eyes waunder, but tells him to not make her feel so small and walks out.

Back at Frank’s Erin tells Frank that Jimmy marked Mrs. Griffin’s granddaughter’s assault as harassment and a burglary as trespassing. Jimmy is “cooking the books” and making the crimes small to increase his numbers. Erin feels bad because he already gave the Chief position to Jimmy, but Frank tells that he didn’t and that he gave it to another person. However, now he has to fire him. The enhanced video comes back and Danny and Curatola see that it was Sabrina that came out the door and suddenly the bullet was fired. They see that the bullet ricocheted off a light post and hit King in the neck. King was not the target, Sabrina was. They go and tell Sabrina and she tells that she and King were involved and Curatola is disgusted because Bernice is pregnant with their child. Sabrina asks what Danny’s wife has that she doesn’t. Danny looks at her and gives back her number and says “me”.

Frank sits down with Jimmy and finds out that he has been misappropriating crimes and tells that he can either get demoted or leave with his pension and dignity. Curatola and Danny walk up to Bernice and she is leaving. She tells that they need to walk away for a little bit and she knows that they know that she killed. She tells that she found out that King left his email page open and she tells that King gave her the gun. Later that night, Jamie walks and Gonzalez, the woman who got the Medal of Valor and then quit and she tells that he needs to keep walking. He asks who killed Joe and asks if it was the Blue Templar, but she is gone. At Danny’s house, Danny tells that he never stepped out of bounds and she tells that she remembers Danny in the past and they make up.
