The scene opens with men playing a game of Cricket in Central Park. Meanwhile, Jamie is in the boxing gym working up a sweat when Renzulli comes up and tells that they have some work to do. At the park, a man watches from a distance and tells that the man up to bat, Sammy Kahn, is going to play his final game. He gets on a motorcycle and his friend and him go around the park. One of the men takes out an Uzi and shots Sammy with it and drives off. At the Commissioner’s office, Baker reads the crime reports to Frank and the Deputy Commissioner comes in and tells that there was a shooting in Central Park. The victim, Sammy Kahn, was a counter-terrorist agents was shot and Frank asks if his cover was blown. He doesn’t know. Frank tells that they need to find out or they are going to have to scrub the whole plan.

They go to meet with Danny and Danny thinks that they are there to talk about Jack’s wrist. However, they tell that Sammy could have been compromised and that Danny needs to find out who shot Sammy and to keep it from everyone the nature of why he is investigating it. Curatola and Danny walk the street and Curatola asks why they are working on the weekend on a case that belongs somewhere else. He tells that they have to. Renzulli and Jamie go to the home of Melissa Samuels. She is a rich girl, but she is crazy because she always calls them. Back at the station, Curatola and Danny look through Sammy’s things and Curatola is pegging Sammy as a terrorist with everything they find. He tells that Sammy is just a kid who got shot. Curatola doesn’t believe that Danny doesn’t think that Sammy is a terrorist. Suddenly Sammy’s phone rings. It is Fera, she asks if Sammy is there and then hangs up. Danny tells that they need to find out who Fera is.
At the hospital, a doctor comes up to the hospital room and looks at an unconscience Sammy. Danny and Curatola visit the head of the Muslim church and he asks if Sammy ever showed signs of terrorism and that if anyone wanted to hurt him. He tells that he didn’t see anything. They go inside and Danny tells Curatola to take off her shoes and wrap the scarf around her head. Meanwhile, Renzulli and Jamie visit Melissa and she tells that her books are in different order and that she never has them like that. Renzulli thinks that she is crazy, but Jamie looks further and wants to help her. He gives her his number and tells her to call when she needs his help. In Frank’s office, the Deputy Commissioner tells that they need to find answers and that they need to know whether the plan is still on or not. Frank tells that the plan is still on and that they need to make the best of it.
Curatola wants to know more from Danny, but he isn’t telling her anything. Their Sergeant found the records of Sammy and Fera goes to the same college. Danny’s wife calls and he tells that he will be at dinner later. Jamie and Renzulli go back and Renzulli tells that she is crazy. Melissa heard him and she tells that she is not crazy. This time her work is turned around and the furniture too. Jamie talks to her in the kitchen and sees that she takes medication. Jamie tells that he will keep an eye on her. She tells that she is going to be gone for 2 weeks and gives him keys. He reluctantly agrees. Back at the station, Danny tells that Fera left for Pakistan. Curatola tells that he could have taken the call inside and Danny plays it off as issues with his wife. The family gets together for family dinner and Danny and Frank come in a little late. Erin tells that it is weird that the media is covering the rich and not the poor. After dinner, Frank asks Danny how it is lying to Curatola. He tells that he hates to and tells that he just needs to do it a little longer.

The next day at the hospital, a man with a gun enters and hits the doctor in the face who is attending to Sammy’s room. He points the gun, but it is not Sammy. He runs off. Back at the station, the Sergeant tells that they located some emails coming from an Islamic shop down the road. They hear that Sammy was almost killed and Danny is glad that they moved him to a different hospital. Meanwhile, Frank is next to Sammy, who is still unconscious and is reading a book. The doctor comes in and Frank tells that it is Sammy’s favorite book. Danny and Curatola visit a man named Malik and he is the manager of the store. He shows the one computer that they have for the store and Danny asks who used it last. Malik is silent and Danny tells that he is taking the computer as evidence. In the car, Curatola asks what is going on and asks if he thinks that she is a dumb detective. He tells that he doesn’t. Meanwhile, Jamie visits Erin and she tells that he agrees that he should watch out for Melissa, but she tells that he can’t be the hero of everyone. She tells that Melissa is borderline and that she is taking heavy narcotics.
Back in the car with Curatola and Danny, Malik comes out and has the same motorcycle helmet as one of the riders had and he gets on one of the bike that was involved in the shootout. Danny chases after him and catches him. They take him to the station and tell that they are going to charge him for killing Sammy. He changes his tune when Danny tells Curatola to leave him alone and tells that he is not going to get a deal and that he will tell or else. Malik tells that the shooter was his roommate Raheem. He didn’t give a reason why. Meanwhile, Jamie gets a text from Melissa telling that there is someone in her apartment now. Jamie rushes in with the key that Melissa gave him and sees a man. He tackles him and turns him over. It is Melissa’s brother. Danny visits Frank and the Deputy and tells that they have a name, but no clear direction. They tell him to keep digging.
Danny and Curatola meet Fera from off the plane and tell that they have to talk to her. She is devastated to hear that Sammy was dead and that she has an idea on who killed him. She tells that Raheem always thought that she belonged to him because of their parents arranging a marriage. She doesn’t love him. They ask for her help to take him down. Later at a park, she meets with Raheem and she is wearing a wire. Raheem tells that he loves her and Fera asks why Raheem killed Sammy. Raheem tells that it was because of her. Danny and Curatola move in and Raheem holds Fera hostage. He pushes her and tries to run. Danny catches him upstairs and throws him down the stairs. He calls Frank and tells that the shooting was over Fera. Sammy’s cover is not blown. Meanwhile, Frank meets with a newly awake Sammy and he tells that he was shot over Fera. He tells that he came to America for freedom from all of that. Frank tells that he will make sure the thing that he wants is going to happen.

Renzulli visits Jamie at the boxing gym again and tells that he was wrong and he was right. Jamie tells him not to worry about and Renzulli tells that Jamie reminds him of his brother Joe. Outside, Detective Malewski is waiting and he tells that he knows about the fact that he is investigating and tells that also Lidia Gonzalez was too. He tells that Jamie needs to be careful in what he is digging in. At a bar, Danny and Curatola are having drinks and watching the news of the press conference. Frank tells that they were able to catch 4 Pakistan residents in the USA and they were planning an attack. Curatola tells that she believes that Sammy was a cop and that he was only protecting her. Danny tells that Curatola is a good detective.
