The scene opens with Frank meeting with friends and they are telling jokes. The bill comes and Frank gets it. He tells that the Atrium is making a memorial to his son Joe. They all tell that they will go. Later, Walter and Frank walk outside the bar. Suddenly a Black Sedan pulls up and Frank covers Walter and gets shot in the chest and arm. The family gets to the hospital and the nurse tells that Frank is in stable condition and is already trying to go home. They enter the room and ask if Frank remembers anything about the shooter. He tells that it was only a Black Sedan and that he doesn’t know anything else. Danny and Curatola get into the station and the Acting Commissioner tells that it is the Drug Cartel that have a high ranking official on trial and are most likely the main suspects. Curatola gets a call that tells that they found the car. Danny goes up to the Acting Commissioner and asks to get in on the case and he tells that his place is with his family and that he has no room for him.

Danny gets back to the hospital and tells the updates. Erin knows the Cartel and Henry tells him to watch himself on pushing too much. Henry busts out the wine and they start toasting to dodging bullets. Henry takes off his sport coat and has a gun on his side. He tells that someone just tried to kill Frank and he is not going to be walking around without it. The nurse comes out and tells that they are going to let Frank rest and tells that they have it covered. However, none of the Regan family are going home and wait it out until the morning. Danny gets a call from Curatola telling that they are in. He meets her and she tells that the car is parked and that she speaks Spanish. However, she comes out of the lot and says that the lady inside didn’t see anything. Danny figures that there is a chop shop that has the VIN number already rubbed off. Meanwhile at a coffee shop, Renzulli and Jamie talk and Renzulli tells that he didn’t put Jamie on guard duty with his father because that is no place for a Rookie cop. He tells that he needs to be where the action is to better take care of things. Jamie agrees with him.
Curatola tells Danny that the car is a ‘02 Nissan and that it came from the Chop Shop. However, when they get inside, the owner has no clue what happened to it and tells that it was gone before he came in. He tells that it was probably a gang unit. Suddenly Danny hears a wrench fall and sees a kid listening in. He runs and Danny catches him. At the house, Frank returns and Baker is there with the rest of the team. She tells that his house is their temporary headquarters. She tells that he should avoid any public appearances until it is settled and he tells that he has the Atrium’s memorial for Joe and that he is not going to miss it. At the station, Danny questions the kid that ran and he is not talking. After some convincing, the kid tells that he got a call from a guy asking for the car. The kid’s phone rings and Danny forces him to answer it. The kid tells that it is the guy and he wants to talk to him. Danny grabs the phone and the guy tells that he was the driver and that he wants immunity if he turns in the guy who shot Frank. He tells that he will call Danny back.

Baker and Frank discuss Frank’s schedule and asks why he picked his rival for Commissioner as his 2nd in command. Henry comes in with old files and tells that there is a possibility that an old enemy has come back. At the station, Danny talks to Erin and Erin tells that they are not going to give the man immunity, but leniency is possibility. The caller calls again and tells that Danny can pick him up. He tells that his name is Diego. Danny tells that he is on his way. Diego goes out of the bathroom and meets a man named Rori. He asks what he is doing there and Rori stabs him and leaves him at the table. Renzulli and Jamie get the call of the stabbing. Danny and Curatola arrive there and find Diego’s cell phone. They trace the number to Rori Brennen, an old enemy of Frank’s. Henry tells that Rori’s dad, Whitey had his wife killed and grandson in a shooting. Frank told Henry to squash it.
Danny visits Rori’s brother, Kevin. He tells that he stays far away from Rori. Danny asks about his father and Kevin tells that he has suffered enough. Danny tells that Frank is his father and that he won’t stop. Kevin gives him the address. Danny and Curatola visit Whitey and Danny asks where Rori is. He tells that he isn’t talking and Danny cuts off Whitey’s morphine drip, but stops when Curatola comes in. She tells that they have new developments and she leaves. When Danny leaves, he sees Rori in the hall. Rori grabs a nurse and uses her as a shield. He shoots her in the side and runs downstairs. Danny follows and eventually kills Rori. Frank gets ready for the memorial and Nikki asks what happened with Whitey Brennen’s family. She asks if the baby died and he tells that the baby didn’t die. However, Nikki knows that he is lying and Henry tells her to keep it between them. Frank comes downstairs and Erin tells him to stay safe.

Danny talks to the nurse that was shot and she doesn’t know why Rori would do such a thing. She tells that Kevin, the brother, was yelling at Rori telling that it was ready to avenge their mother and give Frank some payback. Danny calls Frank and tells that Kevin is the shooter and tells that he is still on the loose. Frank tells that he is surrounded in a group of police and that he will be fine. Danny calls Jamie and tells that the shooter is inside the memorial and he describes Kevin. Jamie goes up to a guy on the escalator and the man is reaching in his oversized jacket. However, it is not Kevin and the man was reaching for his cell phone. Kevin turns around and he is dressed like a priest in a hat. Danny sees him and alerts Jamie. As Kevin reaches for his gun, Jamie and Danny pounce on him and Frank finishes his heart felt speech. The Reagans pose for pictures and the incident is over. Later, Frank visits Whitey and asks if he wants to confess anything. Frank apologizes to him for his loss, but Whitey doesn’t want anything to do with it. He tells that he has nothing to confess and Frank tells that he doesn’t want it addressed to him. Walter walks in and he is a priest. Frank leaves Walter and Whitey alone.
