The scene opens with a man walking up to a man and gives him money. He gets a call from his wife and the man lies and says that he is walking into the Governor’s office now. He tells her to tell Erin that he is sorry that he couldn’t make it. She tells Erin that Cole can’t make it. Meanwhile, Baker talks to Commissioner Frank Reagan and tells him that he has a meeting to go to. Frank gives her a letter to hand deliver to the Mayor Elect. Erin has dinner with Lisa Farragaut, Cole’s wife and she tells her that Frank has to submit his letter of resignation to Mayor-Elect Colson Poole based on customary. Lisa says that Cole can help with that and says that he is always there next to the Mayor. However, on the side of the town where Cole was at during the day, a prostitute finds that Cole was beaten to death and put back into his car. He is dead. Curatola arrives on scene and tells Danny about it. He recognizes Cole’s name and says that Lisa is having dinner with Erin. He calls and tells her the bad news. Erin tries to escort Lisa out, but she tells that they found Cole’s body. He is dead.

At the station, Sgt. Renzulli is talking to the officers who are getting to do some undercover work. He tells them to be careful and tells Jamie that he wants his driver back and to be careful. Erin and Lisa go to the morgue and Frank comes in and hugs Lisa. Erin volunteers that Lisa stay over at her place and she tells she will wait in the car. Erin tells Frank that Cole told her that she was stuck in Albany and couldn’t get out of work. Meanwhile, Jamie starts his undercover work when two girls come up to him asking for a drink. Jamie tries to ignore them and one of the girl’s boyfriends comes over and bumps into Jamie and causes him to spill his beer. A guy next to him tells the kid to take it outside. The guy introduces himself as Noble Santino and says that he knows Jamie from somewhere. He gets up and says that it will come to him. The next day, Erin goes into the station and Danny tells that Cole wasn’t in Albany and says that Curatola is going to look around the neighborhood. She goes up to Dexter, the Mayor of the block, and he tries to run off. He says that he used to watch the Range Rover for tow trucks. He tells what building he went into.

Curatola, Erin and a police officer go into the apartment to find it cleaned out, but the bedroom is pink and has posters of teen heartthrobs. Curatola says that Cole had a dirty little secret and Curatola finds blood there. Erin and Frank get ready for the Gala and Frank doesn’t like that Poole is having a fundraiser to get to know him. Erin tells him that he is going to have a fun time. They get to the event and Poole talks to Frank alone. He tells him that he needs to make this no more then a car jacking. Frank is confused and says that he likes to work his cases to the end. He says that he serves the Mayor, but is not bossed around. Tony Bennet and Carrie Underwood sing “It Had To Be You” and Erin tells Frank to look happy and he tells her that Poole wants him to hush the case up. Tony and Carrie finish and Tony makes a job of unpaid traffic tickets. Back at the bar, Nobel goes up to Jamie and tells him that he remembers him from Stardust and Jamie lies and agrees with him. Jamie gets down to business and asks for some “encouragement” to get him through a date. However, Nobel doesn’t take the bait and says that there is a cop in the bar and says that he can spot a cop a mile away.

Lisa goes into the station the next day and talks to Erin. She says that Cole’s things were taken and Erin tells her about what Poole said, she agrees with it. Danny and Curatola get to Cole’s place that he had on his own and find a girl named Mikolina. She tells that Cole had an apartment with her and said that he was going to take her out of there, but Curill, her boss, was the one who killed Cole. Curatola asks for Curill’s last name, but she won’t reveal it. Lisa watches the entire time and says that she doesn’t want it in the press because it will ruin their family. Erin meets with Frank and he says that if she tries to hide things, she is going to ruin her reputation and that also there is a chance that she will blow the entire thing. However, Frank says that he likes to see killers brought to justice. Poole comes in and Erin leaves. He tells Frank that he is tough and that he likes his spirit.

Jamie is on his final shift undercover and is talking to Nobel at the bar. He says that there are no cops around and points him in the direction to get drugs. Jamie has his leak in the drug ring. At the station, Erin comes in and says that she is going to get Curill on sex trafficking and that is all she can do. Danny doesn’t like it one bit. Back at the bar, Nobel comes back stumbling. He tells that he has a rush, but falls over and has a bloody nose. Jamie takes him outside and calls an ambulance. Back at the station, Danny and Curatola watch as Mikolina gives up the location to where he hangs out. They get to the place and arrest him. They take him back and Curill says that he is innocent and that he is going to kill Mikolina. Suddenly FBI come in and tells that they are deporting Curill. This makes Curill talk, but it is too late. Danny and Erin realize that this is Polle’s doing.

Later, Erin tells Lisa about it and she is relived that she is not going to be hounded by the press. She tells that she has boys to take care of now and has to focus on that right now. Poole goes up to Frank and says that he has made a few “friends” along the way to his seat as Mayor. He tells Frank that he needs him on as Commissioner and he tells Frank a story of when he was a boy and how Frank showed that he was one of the good guys. Franks says that he is going to have to think about it. Later at dinner, Frank informs the family that he wants to know what they think of him as Commissioner. They all agree that they wouldn’t have it any other way then for him to stay on as Police Commissioner. The next day, Frank and Jamie go fishing and a police officer sees Frank smoking a cigar. Frank turns around and says that he will allow it to go out. The officer walks away and Jamie reminds him that he is the Police Commissioner. Frank throws it out. Frank tells Jamie that Noble Santino is one of the mob families and the DOJ have been trying to get a man on the inside. Jamie says that he would love to work that area.
