Danny arrives at the scene of the crime and is told that Darren Gorski and Alex Kasper died on the scene and that Christina Ruiz is in critical condition. Danny tells them to expand the perimeter. Darren’s aunt comes up with Curatola and tells them that the kids are all good kids. The officer comes over to Danny and says that the side of the courts is a Drug Hotspot.

Garrett comes into Frank’s office and tells him that the Mayor wants to know everything about the case and tells that Danny is leading Detective. Erin comes in and says that Miles Thomas wants to get a DNA test for his appeal. He says that it is not something to worry about. Jamie and Renzulli respond to a call from a doorman who has a man telling him that he followed the GPS signal to a building. Jamie says that he could be in several buildings. They take his complaint. Back at the station, Danny says that the hospital just put Christina into a medical induced coma. Curatola says that Christina has a record for possession and says that it was only a couple of joints. Danny pull up known drug dealers and pulls up Xavier Sandina. They go to his place and when he runs to dump drugs down a toilet, Danny kicks in the door and arrests him for possession with the intent to sale. Jamie takes notes of the guy with the stolen laptop. He says that he can send a message to the laptop and Jamie says that he needs to send a message saying that he will pay $500 for it. When the guy bites, they will be there to arrest the guy. Later at dinner, Nikki asks if she can go to a new restaurant with her friends and she says that she will be back later. She agrees. Erin says that the DNA results came back and they don’t match.

Danny and Curatola take Xavier to the station and he says that he didn’t kill the kids. He says that he was home with his mom. He says that Christina’s charge of possession was bogus and that her boyfriend, Darren Gorski, was the one who shoved it in her backpack when the police showed up. Xavier says that Darren is a gangbanger. Meanwhile, Erin sits down with Frank and says that the DNA matches to Justin Armell. Miles Thomas and Justin Arnell could be brothers. The statute of limitations has run out, but Frank says that Justin could have rapped again and says that Baker needs to get everything she can on Justin. He says that he is going to catch him. Frank meets with Elizabeth Fox, the rape victim of the Miles Thomas case. He says that they got it wrong 18 years ago and that the real rapist is out there. He says that he is going to catch him. Meanwhile, Jamie and Renzulli get a call that the meeting is tomorrow of the stolen computer. Danny is at the station with Curatola and is going through pictures. He doesn’t think that the kids are innocent kids and says that the gang that Darren was in will be at the funeral. Curatola says that there is a candlelight vigil happening tonight and Danny says that they will be there.

Erin visits Miles in prison and says that they will release him as soon as the judge is convinced that Miles wasn’t the one. Despite the DNA evidence, there are other things that are confusing. Erin shows the picture of Justin and Miles asks what he has been doing and says that he should be able to find him and make him talk. Erin says that there are programs to help when Miles gets released and he asks for a time machine. Danny and Curatola get to the vigil and says that he doesn’t know the reason the kids were shot and Danny finds a card that says that they are so sorry. Frank meets with Garrett and tells him that he met with Elizabeth and Garrett says that this is not Frank’s fault. The next day, Erin is with Nikki and Nikki gets a text from two boys and Erin asks who they are. Nikki takes the defense and says that Erin needs to trust her. She tells Nikki that it is hard to trust her when she is lying to her. Erin meets with Danny and tells him that she is having teenager problems and says that she wishes she didn’t have to give Frank bad news all the time. She gets a text telling her that Justin Arnel is in her office with his lawyer.

Danny goes to the station and Curatola and he look through a video tape of the vigil. They find that Stacey Vaughn, a girl from the gang photos, was there. Erin gets into her office to meet Justin and his lawyer. He tells Erin that he doesn’t want to be harassed and have people coming up to his friends asking questions. She tells Justin that he is a rapist and that even though they can’t charge him with Elizabeth’s rape, that doesn’t mean that they can’t find something else. She calls Baker and asks if she found anything yet. Danny and Curatola visit Christina, who woke up from her coma, and ask her about the shootings. She says that she doesn’t remember the shooter and says that they were playing basketball when it happened. Jamie and Renzulli are on stakeout when the man with the stolen laptop approaches the man. He signals that they have the right man. Jamie manages to tackle the guy and they find that the man who had his laptop stolen is actually a bookie and tries to deny that it is not his laptop. Renzulli arrests the guy for promoting gambling and Jamie arrests the other guy for possession of stolen property.

At dinner, Erin talks about the case and Frank says that they have to except things that come their way. Erin says that it is not good when you know who the crook is. Danny says that he has no leads on the shootings and hopes that it is not a random shooting. Nikki tells that she wants to know why she can’t go on the Subway by herself. Danny says that everyone is over protective after this week. Danny and Curatola meet with Stacey Vaughn and she tells that she doesn’t know who killed the kids, but when Danny makes her look at one of the kid’s morgue picture, she admits that it was her boyfriend, John-John, who killed them because they were getting high and that John-John said that he said that they deserved it. Erin meets with Ellen Sloan, a woman who said that she was raped. She tells her that it was a mistake. Erin tells her that Justin will do it again and she tells that he will kill her if she talks and she believed him. Erin calls Frank and says that Ellen won’t do it.

Danny and Curatola take John-John in the station and they want to know why he shot the kids. He says that they were laughing at him. Danny says that it was a joke that they were laughing at and not him. He loses it and Curatola says that she will take the statement. Frank meets with the press and tells them that everyone makes mistakes and in regards to Miles Thomas, he says that it is not always clear as to what happens. Garrett takes over and tells them that they have a suspect in custody in the shootings. Frank goes up to Justin later and introduces himself as the Police Commissioner and says that he has all his officers watching every move he makes. Later that night, Erin is with Danny watching Nikki at the restaurant. Erin says that she wants to know for sure that Nikki is going to be alright. Danny says that Frank and Danny followed Erin on her date with a guy and she realizes that it is creepy that they are watching her. The next day, Miles Thomas is released and Frank is outside to meet him. The episode ends.
