His wife Marie frustratingly takes the high moral ground, until Charlie dies violently in custody, obviously by means of Marie. Mark takes the blame for this and spins further into despair.v Amy reveals to PJ that she has been offered a job with a cold case squad in Melbourne. PJ encourages her to take it, but she is unsure about working with her former lover, Detective Garth Henderson. Reflecting on the fates of the nameless victims of the Bidens, PJ and Amy agree they are cops for the justice they can find for the victims of all crime.
The net closes on Marie Biden, who turns the tables on Amy and PJ, trapping them in her torture chamber cellar beneath the farm sheds.
Amy relinquishes her position on the cold case squad to PJ, and they part, to continue seeking justice for the victims of crime.
