Recap

A red elevator, a whistling elevator boy. “Some fight huh?” Nucky, confused a little bit; “That fight hasn’t happened yet.” The elevator door opens on a parlor full of people all looking at Nucky as he walks off of the elevator towards them. The elevator quietly closes behind him and sounds of screaming children and cars driving on highways echo in the background. A baseball glove sits on a chair, Nucky just walks through. No words spoken. He walks into his office, there is a boy sitting at his desk. The boy puts his right hand up. It had been shot through blood running down, trickling down the boy’s forearm. Nucky looks at him confidently and says “Daddy eats first.” A distinct wailing comes from Nucky’s feet. A deer dying in front of him, struggling. A shotgun is then cocked. Nucky looks up to see the boy holding the shotgun and pointing it at him. The boy pulls the trigger and Nucky is at home getting his hand bandaged up. Nucky “snaps” back into reality and the doctor asks him if he is ok? Nucky apologizes and says “yeah, been having trouble sleeping.” Nucky then asks the doctor about the Commodore. He refuses and Nucky threatens him. Reminding him about the Medicinal Liquor license that Nucky had gotten him. Margaret then walks in the room and asks Carl to check on Emily. The doc says “of course” and Nucky reminds him to not forget about who his friends were. Eli is at home eating with his father and children when a man in a black suit enters. He tells them his name; Dick Halsey. He is a clerk with the U.S. Attorney’s office there to subpoena Eli for Nucky’s case. Eli gets irate and pushes Dick out his front door and onto the porch. He closes the door behind him and locks it. Eli turns back to see Mr. Thompson dying, he could not take all the excitement. The children running around trying to help Eli goes to his father and holds his head as he chokes...
