Episode discussion for: 01x01 | Human Flesh (Jan 09, 2011)

I didn't have high hopes for this show and it's as bad as the previews made it out to be BUT if I'm being completely honest, it didn't totally suck. I think it's slightly above “Sit Down Shut Up”.
Personally I give it 6 episodes before it's pulled.

It was just terrible. What's the point of an animated show if live actors could have performed the same thing? The characters just sat around and talked - no crazy stunts, no fantasy bits, no talking animals, no kids doing things that real kids wouldn't or couldn't do ... there was no reason to animate this at all.

Plus, it was boring both in story and animation style. I won't watch again.

Cindy, did you like King of the Hill?

I didn't see this show, but I know it had the same creator or something as King of the Hill, which was sort of a show that could have been done by live actors as well.

I watched King of the Hill occasionally, but I wouldn't really say I liked it. I agree, it could have been done by live actors. Might have been cheaper to produce, and I wouldn't have to wonder why Bobby was drawn so badly.

Haha, I think the reason for doing animation over live actors with these types of shows is actually because you have control over things you can't possibly control with real actors. Your characters don't have to age and if one of your voice actors leaves, you can replace them but still keep the physical look of the character.

I thought King of the Hill was pretty funny in it's own unique way. But don't think I'll bother with this show when I have episodes of Modern Family and Psych to watch.

It was okay, except for the episodes featuring Luanne, and her manger babies. Oh god, the manger babies. I love sock puppets, but man I hated those manger babies. EEEEEEEEEY-AAWWWWWWWWWW.
