Bones

Bones

To Unravel A Murder, You Have To Strip It To The Bone.

Bones is an investigative drama following the exploits of Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), a top forensic anthropologist. Dr. Brennan heads up a team at the Jeffersonian Institute that works to identify remains that cannot otherwise be identified by traditional means. She also works hand-in-hand with law enforcement organizations, using her unique talents to see past the obvious and find the hidden clues others may not see.

Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), a former Army Ranger Sniper working in the FBI's Homicide Investigations Unit, teams up with Dr. Brennan, or "Bones" as he soon nicknames her, and they often clash on how best to approach a case. Booth and his no-nonsense attitude towards scientists -- "squints" as he often calls them -- finds him preferring to get answers from witnesses and investigations, but working with Dr. Brennan he comes to see that the science behind the crime is often just as important as the witnesses.

Dr. Brennan's team includes Dr. Jack Hodgins (T. J. Thyne), a forensic scientist specializing in entomology and biological and geological trace evidence; Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin), Dr. Brennan's best friend and a facial reconstructionist; Cam Saroyan (Tamara Taylor), the Jeffersonian coroner; and Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley), an FBI psychologist who lends his unique behavioral analysis background to the investigations.

Prev: 7x13 -- The Past in the Present (May/14/2012)

Evil tech genius Christopher Pelant, a suspect in a previous case Brennan and Booth handled, is back in court on appeal. Knowing what he is capable of, Brennan and Booth inform the judge that he is a suspect in two murder cases. Then, Brennan and Booth are called to the scene of a new murder. After determining the victim is Brennan's friend, who also is linked to Pelant, the Jeffersonian team works to prove he is guilty once and for all. But when law enforcement examines the team's findings, key pieces of evidence are tied to Brennan and suspicion falls on her.

This is an amazingly good series, getting better and better with each new episode.
It's remarkable especially due to David Boreanaz who once again gets to create a conpelling character and acheve an unforgettable chemistry with his co=star, Emily Deschanel who plays "Bones". Read more

Absoloutly Fantastic SeriesRating: 1 likes, 2 dislikes

I really looked forward to this series before it even started because I am such a fan of the books. Although I was at first majorly disappointed because the series was so off base of the books, and the characters and story lines were so different, I kept both watching and reading and found myself hooked on both! The characters in the show are completely different ,with different lives, but are just as compelling as the ones in the books. I have a feeling the show would do much better if it wasn't in direct competition time wise with another show that has a huge fan base, and much more advertising. Perhaps in the future the time slot will be adjusted to give 'Bones' a better opportunity to build a strong fan base before it has to face off with another show that is so popular. Read more
