Booth's brother, Jared, and Brennan investigate after a body is found uring a police raid. The team learns the victim is an inventor's father who had a difficult past with his son. But when a second body is found, the team must race to find the con man in the inventor's life. Meanwhile, Brennan goes on a date with Booth's brother and learns a lot about Booth's past.

Brennan: Can you give me an example? (Jared kisses Brennan)
Jared: I bet you Seeley never took that risk.
Brennan: (smiling) Nope.
| Brennan: (toasting Booth) Anthropology teaches us that the alpha male is the man wearing the crown, displaying the most colorful plumage and the shiniest baubles. He stands out from the others. But I now think that anthropology may have it wrong. In working with Booth, I've come to realize that the quiet man, the invisible man, the man who's always there for friends and family... that's a real alpha male. And I promise my eyes will never be caught by those shiny baubles again.
