Jonathan publishes a new book, but his success is somewhat lessened by a discovery about his origins. Jonathan also takes a new case following a woman that leads to personal trouble. George's daughter comes to visit him for the first time in years and brings her boyfriend, someone George is not expecting. Ray gets the opportunity to spend time with his biological son.

George enlists Jonathan's help to try to show Emily what she is missing by dating Bernard, an older man. Jonathan discovers he is being impersonated, and drags Emily along to follow the man. Leah kicks Ray out of the house and he ends up with an older woman.
