Jonathan takes another job verifying the fidelity of a woman's husband. Ray gets a colonic to please Leah and asks Jonathan to tag along for moral support. George gets an unsightly blemish on his face and comes up with what he feels is a brilliant idea to hide it.

3 :01x03 - The Case of the Missing Screenplay

George tries to help Jonathan's career with an introduction to a famous filmmaker. Circumstances require Jonathan to asks Ray help him retrieve a screenplay he left behind at an unfortunate tryst. George runs into his ex-wife which leaves him shaken.

4 :01x04 - The Case of the Stolen Skateboard

Jonathan takes on the case of a skateboard stolen from a child by a bully. Ray offers his sperm to help out a lesbian couple who want a baby. George has a crush on a young publicist.

Jonathan is hired by a Russian parolee to locate a nightclub singer in Brighton Beach in order to rekindle their romance. Meanwhile, George hatches a plan to increase the recent declining magazine sales with women.

Jonathan takes a case to retrieve a tape from a woman who is blackmailing a married man from New Jersey. He enlists the aid of Ray and George whose helpfulness proves inconsistent.

Ray enlists Jonathan's help to track down the 2 lesbians he has been selling his sperm to after he loses contact with them. George loses his temper and publishes a less than flattering editorial about his arch-rival, Richard Antrem.

Jonathan, Ray and George enter the ring to take on rivals from GQ magazine after Antrem challenges George.

Jonathan is hired by a cop with a S&M fetish.

George's rival Richard Antrem hires Jonathan to spy on his wife, who he suspects is having an affair - but the private eye faces a dilemma when he discovers who the other man is. Elsewhere, Ray tries to impress Leah by creating a new comic-book character, and Stella decides to change the parameters of her love-life. Jonathan is left reeling when Stella dumps him, but his night gets even worse when he is kidnapped by thugs searching for the hard drive he stole from the sex dungeon. A dermatologist enlists Jonathan to deliver a letter to his intended at an Asian health spa; Jonathan takes Ray to the spa for his birthday.

Jonathan and his friends visit a health spa after he agrees to deliver a letter from a nervous dermatologist to his fiancee, whose family disapproves of their relationship. However, Ray is upset when he finds out the trip is not to celebrate his birthday, and a bizarre chase ensues when security guards realise what is going on.

In the Season 3 premiere, Jonathan marks the release of his new book but must process some alarming family news before trailing a mysterious woman on another case. Meanwhile, George is reunited with his daughter at his restaurant, where he meets her new boyfriend; and Ray spends a day with his biological son.

On the run from the police, Jonathan and Ray turn to Howard (Patton Oswalt) for help with trying to find out who framed Jonathan for murder, while George runs interference for them in his own inimitable, marijuana-induced way.

Already nervous about his appearance on "The New Dick Cavett Show," Jonathan is thrown for a loop when another scheduled guest happens to be his nemesis, Louis Greene (John Hodgman). Meanwhile, Ray's attentiveness as a father is tested; and George is floored by Emily and Bernard's latest news.

20 :03x04 - We Could Sing A Duet

George urges Jonathan to show Emily what it's like to be out with a younger man, but they wind up on a stakeout with a wannabe gumshoe (Brett Gelman) impersonating Jonathan. Meanwhile, George goes out on the town with Bernard, but is shocked to learn that Richard Antrem (Oliver Platt) is a competing restaurateur; and Ray is drawn to an older woman (Olympia Dukakis) after a fight with Leah.

Jonathan and George try counseling to mend their relationship, but Jonathan thinks he might have better luck by investigating a rival's business practices. Meanwhile, George signs up for singing lessons; and Ray finds himself with an embarrassment of romantic riches.

George and Ray tag along when Jonathan is hired by an old college flame (Casey Wilson) and her father (Rene Auberjonois) to guard her family's wedding jewels. Meanwhile, the bursting of Ray's romantic bubble forces him to move in with George.

Jonathan pursues new leads on his paternity case with Rose (Isla Fisher); George and Ray try to make amends for their particular transgressions.
