Recap

The scene opens with Mayor Rutledge’s nurse, Debra tells Kane that yellow is his color and gives him a tie that belongs to Mayor Rutledge. She feeds Mayor Rutledge and Kane sees files on the table. Debra says that he likes it when she reads to him. She asks if she will see him tonight and Kane says that he cannot make that promise with her and tells her not to ask it either. Kane gets into his office and turns on the laptop. Kitty and Ezra come in and Kitty tells him that Ben Zajac has advanced in the polls, but there is a possible problem of the debate in Danville. Kane tells Kitty to meet Ben in Danville and says that she is going help him. She tries to decline, but he tells her to go. Ezra suggests that they wait on making Ben the Governor. However, Kane tells him that he wants to shake things up and says that Ben is the perfect person for it. Frank Kohler meets with Kane and says that there are going to be problems if he can’t deal with the Scientia issue. Kane has another moment with pausing and tells him to give him a moment.
