2x10: True Enough recap: The episode begins with Meredith being sworn into the office of an Alderman, by Tom, in the presence of the Council. “Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the new Alderman for the 11th ward” Tom announces with a smile, after the swearing in ceremony. Sam is looking into Kenya Taylor’s murder. Ben is shown telling the press that, Senator Walsh has suspended her campaign in the wake of her personal tragedy. Kitty arrives at Tom’s office and asks to speak with him privately. Kitty asks to replace Mona in her position, now that she has been fired. Just then Tom begins hallucinating again. “I think my 8 years of service were nothing less than stellar” she says... read more.

2x8: Consequence recap: The episode begins with Tom breaking a gavel in absolute rage, in an empty assembly room. Later Alderman Ross tells Tom that, “the borrowing has to stop”. He is basically talking about the city’s fiscal deficit. The costs incurred from the riots, due to the fire and other things, have mounted to a considerable amount. “Chicago is in fact on the verge of bankruptcy” Alderman Ross concludes. Ross also reminds Tom how his so called “corruption sweep” left an “acute personnel gap”. Alderman Ross asks Tom to work with him so they can resolve the issue, but Tom shows him the door. 2x7: The Conversation recap: The episode begins with Meredith discovering that there are recordings of Mona’s daily life, on Tom’s laptop. She then stumbles upon a video of Mona having sex with her husband. Meredith is visibly disturbed on seeing it. Later, Tom enters the room and exclaims “there are tanks on the street”. “How did we get here, to this fractured state?” he asks. He also tells Meredith that, he needs her support moving forward. Later, he has a meeting with Ian and Mona, and is briefed about the riots and the casualties resulting from them. 2x6: Backflash recap: The episode begins with the residents of Lennox Gardens being shifted out due to the construction. Ian arrives at Tom’s house and asks for him. Emma tells Ian he isn’t home. He instead meets with Meredith. “Did he come home last night?” Ian asks Meredith, about Tom. He elaborates that Tom is unreachable. He also reveals that, Tom drove out on his own and hasn’t been heard from since. Meredith tells Ian that there is no reason for worry, and sends him packing. Cops on the other hand are busy relocating the residents of Lennox Gardens, some of whom are resisting. 2x5: Mania recap: The episode begins with Tom waking up from his sleep and having hallucinations. He then wakes up and gives Jeff a call. He tells Jeff to give him the numbers and figures of the corrupt city officials. Next morning it is shown that, all corrupt city officials are being arrested. Kitty in Walsh’s campaign bus watches the news, where its being described how union leaders and ward bosses are being arrested. She calls Walsh and says “Kane’s lopping heads; his own people”. Kitty seems worried at what Tom is doing but Walsh tells her, Tom is the kind of person who does whatever he wants whenever he wants.
