Episode Notes

Alan bought all the black and white nudes of Shirley.

Episode Quotes

Shirley: Carl took some very tasteful black and white nudes of me.
Alan: I’m so disappointed in you, Shirley…. Tasteful?

Alan: How many pictures are we talking about?
Shirley: I think there were 15, maybe 20…
Alan: That’s not so many…
Shirley: Rolls of film that he used.
Alan: I am so glad I came into work today.

Denny: You, young punk, you must know computers. Set up a website.

Shirley: I wasn’t 21 when I signed that agreement. I was legally a minor and, therefore, can repudiate the contract and I am an idiot. Why didn’t I think of this sooner?
Alan: I’m gonna credit Karma or Freud.

Denny: I realized a truth about myself. I just love power.
Alan: Well it seems to have a thing for you as well.
Denny: It’s my natural state. It’s my homeostasis. Don’t read anything into that remark.
Alan: I already did.

Michael Eaves: You make a legitimate argument, Mr. Shore.
Alan: Not my favorite kind, but I’m glad to play for that team when necessary.

A.D.A Frank Ginsberg: Your Honor, with his television appearances and theatrics, Mr. Crane has tainted the jury pool to such an extent that the Commonwealth moves for a change of venue.
Judge Diane Avent: Denied, Mr. Ginsberg. You both have manipulated the media coverage of this case. Only, Mr. Crane has done a better job of it. You will play in the sandbox that you built.

Denise: I wander what he’s gonna put on the table?
Denny: No jail time.
Denise: How can you be so sure.
Denny: Years of experience… and he called a half an hour ago.

(About Bev.)
Denny: Do you know I even have memories about her that aren’t sexual?

Denny: Well, are the rumors true? You have naked photos of Shirley? Ah, common, what’s the big deal? I’ve had naked pictures of Shirley for years.
Alan: Denny, she’s asleep in these.
Denny: He’s one where she woke up. Have you ever seen a beautiful naked woman look so angry?

Cultural References

Denny: Denise, Rodney King?

Rodney King was an individual, who in 1991, was caught on tape being beaten by numerous police officers. Later, in a trial against the officers, they were found innocent and that decision lead to the 1992 riots in the streets of Los Angeles.

Episode References

Paul: Brad, if this year has taught me anything, it’s that you will get the job done by any means necessary.

This is a reference to the episode, "Gone", where Brad cut the fingers off a priest to get a child back from a kidnapper.
