During Denny Crane’s therapy session with Dr. Sydney Fields, a verbal showdown between the two results in Denny’s shooting the doctor. While Alan Shore defends Denny in court, the law partners discuss whether the time has come to oust Crane from the firm.
Meanwhile, Alan runs into Chelina Hall and their old chemistry returns when he enlists her help in a racially charged case.
And Brad Chase learns that he can’t keep a girl because he’s a lousy kisser, so he asks Denise Bauer to give him lessons.

| Sydney Field is the fourth person that Denny has shot with a fire arm or paintball gun. | Melissa Hughes: Don't fall for her. She's just a guest star.
Melissa breaks character for the first time and warns Alan to stay way from someone who won't be around long. | Brad and Denise start an office affair that is frowned upon at Crane, Poole, and Schmidt. | Chelina Hall: God, the last time I saw you...
Alan: I think it was a Sunday. Then I was taken off the air, you went off to do movies, then I got switched to Tuesdays, and...
Chelina Hall: Here we are with old footage.
This is a character breaking explanation of the fact that Boston Legal's season ended early after her first appearance because Grey's Anatomy took off in it's Sunday time slot. Boston Legal then moved to Tuesdays this season. |

| Dr. Sydney Field: My official medical recommendation would be that you take yoga classes so that you might get the necessary flexibility to stick your head up your ass. | Chelina Hall: Alan, the last time we worked together, I kissed you.
Alan: Really? I'd forgotten. You'll have to refresh me on that. | Judge Robert Sanders: I think I have enough probable cause, Mr. Shoop.
Alan: Actually, Your Honor, since our last get together, I've changed my name from Shoop to Shore. I figured since it's already on my drivers license and passport, not to mention all the pleadings before you. Though, I'd never presume you to read pleadings, of course. They're...
Alan and Judge Robert Sanders: (In unison.) Gibber-gabber. | Alan: Melissa, you and I kissed once. I barely participated. We certainly didn't agree to any kind of exclusivity - no hickeys or pins or letter-man jackets. | Chelina Hall: What am I supposed to do, ask the jury to disregard the law?
Alan: You need to have faith in them, Chelina. You need to remember these are people of conscience, of compassion. You need to remember they're too stupid to get off jury duty. | Dr. Sydney Field: If anybody leaves this room, I will shoot Mr. Shore
Alan: If I might object to that. | (After shooting Dr. Sydney Field a second time)
Alan: You said you'd never so much as look at a gun again.
Denny: I never said I wouldn't shoot one. | Alan: It was funny to finally meet your therapist.
Denny: A man never introduces his wife to his mistress.
Alan: That's a shame. Makes for a hell of a party. |
