Boy Meets World: Cory's Alternative Friends

When Cory overhears some girls talking about a "brillow head" whom he assumes is him, he takes drastic measures to try and straighten his hair. When his plan goes awry however, he becomes an outcast, forced to hang out with the geeks at school. But while getting to know them better, he begins to see that they may not be so bad after all. Together, they plan to stop the unjust firing of the school librarian.

Episode Notes
This episode marks the first appearance of Topanga.

This is the first time that Cory and Topanga kiss.

The role of Topanga was originally intended for Christina Leigh. However; Danielle Fishel, who makes her debut in this episode, took over the role in a last minute casting change. The character was originally intended to be just a guest star for a few episodes, however they liked her so much they kept bringing her back until she became a full cast member during season two.

Episode Quotes
Alan: (Seeing Cory's hair) That's a hat, right?
Eric: Try and take it off!
Alan: (Tugs on it) Cory, what did you do?
Cory: I tried to straighten my hair, okay?!
Alan: With what, shellac?

Cory: Shawn and I have another project we're working on.
Topanga: Really? What is it?
Shawn: Well, you know how those dolphins get caught in the tuna nets?
Topanga: Yeah.
Shawn: It's got nothin' to do with that.

Shawn: (to Topanga when she has lipstick all over her face) Use a mirror, babe.

Episode Goofs
