When Alan quits his job at the supermarket out of the blue, the family becomes concerned with their financial welfare. Without another job lined up, Alan does some soul searching on what job would really make him happy. Meanwhile, Shawn tries to teach Cory how to be poor.

Morgan says she needs 25 dollars for her school pictures. However, she only gets one bill out of her father's wallet. There is no way to make 25 dollars with only one bill.

Cultural References

Mr. Feeny: I'm a teacher, not a heart surgeon!

This is a reference to when William Daniels, who plays Mr. Feeny, played Dr. Mark Craig, a heart surgeon, on the TV show, St. Elsewhere.
