In the season two finale, Skylar confronts Walt about his secrecy; Jesse falls apart; and Jane's grief-stricken father takes action that results in further tragedy.
All I can say is...DAMN! |

I'm torn... I appreciate the depiction of the ripple effect -- the devastation that Walt's actions put into play... this is the way that seasons of the Sopranos used to end... showing the destruction caused by Tony and the mob -- families destroyed, legitimate businesses wiped out through blackmail or extortion, individuals swindled, etc... all while the key players keep up a facade, remain in denial, justify their actions (or in-actions)
that said, I don't appreciate the misdirection that was employed all season -- showing us teasers at the beginning of numerous episodes (evidence recovery) that made it appear as though Walt and (possibly) his family were (finally) directly affected. Yes, there were consequences for Walt, but the one he is aware of was minor (Skylar leaving him), compared to the one he couldn't possibly connect (at the time of the event). Although he briefly met Jane's father, he won't be able to make any connection until he sees a picture in the paper or on the news... we won't see that moment unless they lead with it next season...
My biggest concern for next season is what Gus is going to make of what he learned about Walt in this episode -- will he think Walt is working with his brother-in-law to set him up? or, will he see it as an opportunity to pressure Walt to pump Hank for information on the DEA investigation? |

Great comments! and some good questions. I loved the Sopranos also.
