Episode discussion for: 05x13 | To'hajiilee (Sep 08, 2013)

"BTW the cop-bad guy dialogue is an ode to Treasure of the Sierra Madre." From somebody else. I thought a good catch.

What a way to end the episode.

The end of the episode was epic. Looks like someone is going to die there. And as we know from the flashforward-scene, Walter will be free enough to be able to take his ricen from his house.

Gomez on Talking Bad... but I also think it could all be a misdirect...

I think Hank will somehow get out, and I really hope Gomez does too. Jesse in the car is the ONLY way I see them escaping.

The truck has been shot to crap by Gomez and Hank - it should be out of commission. Jesse could drive Walts car, and somehow pull them out, and run - its possible for them to escape. The other Skinhead car looks in tact, so they will more than likely be chased.

I honestly think Hank will survive. Somehow. More than likely with the help of Jesse. Gomez will either die to further Hanks hatred, or survive to help him continue to hunt Walt.

This show has set a standard for going the opposite way of what you think.

This scene was so extremely well done.

Jesse doesn't hop in the drivers seat like we all were more than likely screaming at him to do.

Walts car is pointed the oppsite way, protecting its engine block.

Hank and Gomez were behind a 'ATF' truck that was more than likely armored - giving the excuse why they were not shot (so far). Same with Walt. The skinheads also would be careful in shots not to kill their 'cash cow'.

Very well done.

Never thought about the DEA being armored. A good possibility for them to survive.

I call BS on not one bullet hitting Hank or Gomez. 4 men with automatic rifles and 2 of them bracing themselves on the truck to aim. 2 more automatic rifles and 2 handguns. Hank had partial cover from most of the guns but was clearly visible from just above his waist up, and was an easy target from the rifle on the far right. Gomez was uncovered to at least 2 of the rifles. Gomez at least should have gone down instantly from that hail of gunfire.

I also seriously doubt Hank's truck was armored. I don't doubt the DEA has a few armored vehicles but they are not going to pay to have them all armored and I am guessing Hank isn't going to check one out of the motor pool when he is acting on his own here. And the windows of the truck weren't bullet resistant, they just exploded.

I read on another board what I thought was an apt description of the shootout. They called it an "A-Team" gunfight, lots of bullets, nobody hit! LOL

Considering the precision Jack's team demonstrated in taking out Declan's gang, they seemed inept here.

So true, all that.

Is it the AMC site? I belong there also. Wish TVRage got the same action.

I think that at least one person was hit but they won't show it until next episode. Keep it a cliffhanger without revealing too much.
