Tonight is Week 6 of Auditions and they are in London again! With the crowd in high spirits, and the judges too the first act to bless the stage is Michael Fayombo Jr. and Sr. After small introductions, they hit the stage. The act starts and it is only Michael Jr. on stage as his dances to the montage of Michael Jackson. It shows right away that Jr. has the moves that would make the Late King of Pop proud. But then Michael Sr. enters and shows that he has the moves that can match his 14 year son! Together they dance to a montage of Michael Jackson and with synchronized dancing and perfect dance moves the audience gets on their feet. Simon thought it was not going to work at first but it did work. He even went as far as to tell Michael Jr. that “it was like watching Michael Jackson at his peak”. Amanda was blown away. Pierce said it was the best Michael Jackson impression he has ever seen. So the Father and Son dance duo dance their way into the next round.
This then set off a set of dance acts and Ant and Dec admits that there have been a lot of dance acts across the Britain’s Got Talent stage. First up is “Three Bee” that show that their Indian style of dance can be really entertaining. A kid dance group dressed up in colorful outfits called “Starburst” dance their cuteness into the next round to which they say that their toilets at the dance studio are stinky and that is where the money will go. A little boy street dancer named Tyler Patterson showed that he was no stranger to the dance stage to which Amanda called him a firecracker. A very excited bunch of people move in the next round.
After the break we Move to Birmingham. Simon gets the flu and Louis Walsh steps in again. First up for Birmingham is Julie Walkins. She is a 40 year old cleaner that has the desire to be a performer on the stage and attempts to wow Lois, Pierce, and Amanda. But starting off she did not wow the judges at all with her off key singing, and bizarre type of gestures. She was buzzed out to which Amanda felt threatened by the song. Louis recalled it being like the Exorcist. So this cleaner goes back to her normal life but it gave the audience a laugh with her bizarre eye popping expressions and the fact that she actually thought that she was a good singer.
After a montage of a vegetable carver, a juggler, and a horrible stand-up wannabe comedian, Doorman Neil Fullard tries his luck as a singer and admits from the beginning that he has only sung in the shower and he has brought his “Entourage” with him to which you think right away of “Goodfellas”. But at 42 years old Niel feels that he has a chance. Singing a Frank Sinatra classic “Come fly with me”, it shows that this singer has the right talent to impress the audience and gets everyone clapping. The audience gets on their feet and Neil sings through the whole song and they cut backstage where you see his “Entourage” dancing around. Pierce tells that it was the best he’s heard. Louis tells him that he needs to get the confidence and would like to see him dressed up but thought that it was amazing. So the Doorman will be checked in to the next round and maybe sporting a nicer set of clothes.
After the break, 18 year old Corey Sean wants to show his dance skills to the Britain’s Got Talent stage. From the teen in baggy clothing and sideways hat in the lobby, Corey Sean enters the stage in...wait for it....high heals and a dress!! He is apparently a Beyonce impersonator. With the dance moves of Beyonce, it was somewhat comical to watch Corey dance around the stage and the audience sure thought it was entertaining. Amanda says that he is a good dancer and puts this dancer through. Pierce is against it, but Louis saves his spot by saying that he has good energy and enjoyed it. Amanda even wrote on her piece of paper the boots he wore and to get them at Primart for 12 pounds. So we are going to see more of Beyonce..I mean Corey in the next round.
Simon is back and the auditions move to Manchester where 50 years old James Shields shared his love of playing the clarinet and wants to show the audience and judges his talent. Simon asks the same old questions and asks if James plays with “it” everyday. A little adult humor in there, eh? Right off from the first note, playing “Ave Maria” on clarinet it was good, but just a little boring. Amanda buzzes and scared the audience. Simon compliments James’ playing and Pierce chastises Amanda’s buzzing jokingly and tries to save James by saying yes, but Amanda and Simon, despite the chanting from the audience, say no. So this 50 year old clarinet player will have to practice his clarinet at home some more.
This then pulls up other musicians on the stage to try their luck but utterly fail. A Richard Barribal hits bottles around while Ivone Dervish attempts to play the trumpet and fails. A spoiled teenager Matilda, with a big ego attempts to play the piano. Despite the 10 years of experience (Yeah right), she stinks at it and attempts to protect herself by saying, “You don’t play piano do you?” So this bunch get sent packing back home and closing up in Machchester is a young boy with a huge talent!
Yes, It is 14 year old Liam McNally who wants to get up and sing for the judges and audience and has the dream to be a performer. Singing the classic “Oh Danny Boy”, this high noted singer proves that he has the talent to wows the audience and can hit the highest of notes. With the standing ovation you tell that this boy is proud. Simon doesn’t call him a good singer, but a fantastic singer he did point out that the boy is only going to have the high voice for another 6 month unfortunately and to enjoy it while it lasts. Simon tells that he has emotion in his voice when he sings. Pierce tells that he is a serious contender to win. Liam gets to take his dream to the next step as he is welcomed in the next round of Britain’s Got Talent. This closes another week of auditions for Britain’s Got Talent closing auditions number 6. Tune in next week when auditions come to a close and the judges will decide who is in and who is out.
