Week 5 of auditions is underway and they start in Manchester tonight. The judges all gather in their seats to welcome the thousands of hopefuls hoping that they have what it takes to make it to the Royal Variety Show and get the 100,000 pounds. The judges are hopeful that they are going to find talent here.

First up in Manchester is John Evans, a retired builder. He is going to balance 20 buckets on his head that is about 18 stone in weight. The music starts and the man is able to balance them without any issue at all. David is not impressed to know that is it of the act. Michael says that the audience enjoyed the bucket and Michael says that he is desperate to see him balance more things on his head. They vote and David says that he is not buying it. Michael says that he is going to put him through. Amanda wants to see more and they put him through to the next round.

This set off a montage of how David and Michael don’t agree with one another and act after act they don’t think the same in ways of talent. Michael and David playfully joke with one another and when a 17-year-old singer comes on stage, Michael says that he agrees with David, but then says that he is only joking and says yes to the kid.

They move on to Liverpool and up next is Lorna Bliss, a Brittany Spears impersonator. She says that she has made herself look like her purposely and she is serious about it. She comes out in a silk robe. She starts her singing and takes off her robe. She has the outfit that Brittany Spears wore on a Grammy appearance with a modification to the breast, which they censored out. However at the end of her performance and kissing Amanda, she still gets a no to the next round.

Next up is Jai Mcdowall. He says that he has always wanted to be a singer, but his knees always shake when he gets nervous. He comes out and sings amazingly well. Afterward, Amanda and the rest of the audience give him a standing ovation and Michael says that it was a amazing and emotional. Amanda says that his knees were trembling but it was amazing. David says that he can relax on the microphone because it was great. They vote and it is yes all around and Jai gets to go on to the next round.

The move on to Birmingham where a bizarre act called “Circus of Horrors” performs. It is a mix of acrobatics, fire, sword swallowing and other things. It is very entertaining to watch. Amanda says that it was gruesomely good. David says that it was fantastic. Michael says that it was spectacular. They get all the judges to say yes and they move on to the next round of the competition.

This sets off a montage of bizarre acts that are really good such as Enchantment, Hot Pop Theater and Wachiranporn Tirpak, a quick change artist that gets the crowds going.

Up next is a dance trio called “Two and a Half Men”. They come out and do a fun dance to a Jive song. It is fun to watch. Amanda says that she loved it and calls it animated. Michael says that it was brilliant. David says that they nailed it for him. They get through to the next round to show what they got.

Last up are “The Highwaymen”, a group of Royal Marine Drummers. They come out and start drumming. They use lights on their drums sticks to add to it. Michael says that he was going to get bored. Amanda says that it was good, but she wanted it to end. David says that they are on the edge of doing well. David says yes, Amanda says no, and Michael doesn’t listen to the audience and gives them a no. The audience boos the judges and they bring them back on and tell them that they withdraw their no and they get through. That is it for the auditions this week. On to another city!
