Series 5, Final - Recap

The Finals are tonight and fighting for the votes for the public are: Steven Hall, Michael Collings, Les Gibson, James Hobley, Paul Gbegbaje, Ronan Parke, Jean Martyn, Jai McDowall, Razy Gogonea and “New Bounce”. Ant and Dec come out and the judges are in their best. Simon says that there are going to be surprises. Amanda says that people are fighting for their lives. Michael says that it is a life changing night and one of them is going to take it. David says that tonight is a level playing field.

First up is Steven Hall. He comes out and dances to a medley of songs and has fun on stage. David says that he says that he could win this and says that it was funny and confident. Michael says that he loved it and says when it comes to dancing, he could be the biggest threat. Amanda says that he can have a massive career and says that he is going to have a career no matter what. Simon says that it is very fantastic and says that he is cool. Steven says that he is speechless literally because he got so exited to be in the Finals that he lost his voice.

Next up is Michael Collings. He comes out on stage and sings the audition piece that he sang before and it is good like before. He gets a standing ovation from the audience and Michael. They go to Michael first and he says that it was brilliant. Amanda says that she loves the tone of his voice and it was great. Simon says that he is glad to hear the song again and he says that he put the original song back in the charts again. David says that he is a likable guy and says that he sang beautifully. Michael says that he felt really good about it and says that it has changed his life.

Les Gibson is next. He comes out and does a variety of impressions like Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh and Dermot O’Leary. He finishes up and gets a standing ovation. Amanda says that it wasn’t so good as his semi-finals. Simon says that he didn’t really like the script and says that the impressions weren’t that great. David says that he came out with confidence and says that he is going to be a huge success after this. Michael says that he applauds him for the trying and says that it wasn’t that great, but he did alright. Les says that he has little time to prepare for the night.

James Hobley is up next. He comes out and dances to his audition piece of music and shows his flexibility. He gets a standing ovation from the audience. Simon says that he is brilliant and fearless. He says that there is something about him and says that he is passionate. David says that he puts him into a trance and says that he is going to have a long career as a dancer. Michael says that it was better and kept it simple. Amanda says that he won everyone over this evening.

Next is Paul Gbegbaje. He comes out on the stage and plays his own song that he wrote and it is amazing. He gets a standing ovation and David says that he didn’t think that he had a chance, but he proved him wrong. He stepped it up five notches. Michael says that he went for it and it was spectacular. Amanda says that it was really good and says that he showed off that he is a great composer. Simon says that the risk paid off and says that it was great. Paul says that his hands were sweating and says that he was nervous.

Ronan Parke is up next. He comes out and sings “Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson. It is great and gets a standing ovation from everyone including the judges. Michael says that it was perfect and says that it was amazing. Amanda says that he is a credit to the show and to his parents. Simon says that he nailed it and did brilliantly. Louis says that he is a star. David says that he nailed it and could win the competition.

Up next is Jean Martyn. She comes out on stage and does wonderfully. She gets a standing ovation. Amanda says that she loved it and the energy. Simon says that she is like Musical Fish and Trips and says that it was all around the madness. David says that he sees her at football stadiums. Michael says that he would like to change the set up and would have liked to see her face all the time. She says that she had a ball.

Jai McDowall is up next “Where You Are” by Josh Groban.
Simon says it was Jai at his best and says that he loved it all. He says that he came out and it was great. David says that he sang beautifully. Michael says that he should be proud and it was great. Amanda says that it was another powerful performance. Jai says that it felt like magic and says that it is a dream come true.

Razy Gogonea is up next. He comes out on stage and does his dance moves and then mixes in fire twirling. David says that he was on fire and says that he had so much more. Michael says that he raised his game and says that it was sensational. Amanda says that he pulled it off and loved the fire. Simon says that the end of the act wasn’t good because he turned into a circus performer and it was only a fizzle. He says that he is not sure if that was the best move. Razy says that he only slept 2 hours.

The final act of the night is “New Bounce”. They come out on stage and “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone”. They are great and at the end the audience gives them a standing ovation including Amanda. Michael says that was “sick” and says that they really got better and says that they were amazing. Amanda says that they are sensational and in the next few months, they are going to be on an album. Simon says that they are going to progress and they hope they have a shot of winning it. David says that they have gotten better and better and each pulled it through and it was fantastic. The acts have performed and now it is up to the public as to who will go through.

They close the night with a performance from Jackie Evancho. She comes out on stage and sings “Nessum Dorma”. Ant and Dec talk to her afterward and ask how she handled her nerves. She tells that they need to be relaxed and be confident in themselves. They get ready for the results in a little bit where they will crown the winner of “Britain’s Got Talent”!
