Thanks For The Memories - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Jill discusses how things are going for Kevin and Scotty with Olivia.
Scotty notices she seems to be biting her fingernails a lot more than
interacting with them. She's apprehensive that it won't work out. She's
been in the system for a long time. She asks if they want a weekend
visit, because she has stuff to do. Once she finds out they have a TV,
she agrees to come. She hugs Scotty, and Kevin makes it a group hug.

Kitty leaves Seth in charge of Evan while she goes to run a few errands.
He asks her if she's going to miss teaching, and she says yes. She met a
nice guy.

Kevin, Saul and Scotty bring in a desk in a box that needs to be
assembled. He wants to meet his new 'niece'. Scotty asks if he can
donate some stuff to the gay and lesbian center, and Saul says sure,
though he doesn't work there anymore. Not since he found out Jonathan
does. And since he gave Saul HIV, that was that.

Paige is helping set up Olivia's room. She wasn't expecting the men
back, and tries to get them to go out for a walk. She's got a boy with her.

Nora comes over and talks to David. He's packing. Holly is tired of
people talking about her like she's not there. David is supposed to go
teach a class in New York, but he won't leave without her, and she won't
go with him. She's not ready. It's happening too fast. Nora doesn't know
how she can help. They have tenants coming, and the boxes need to be out
of the house. She needs more time. David knows if she doesn't go with
him, she won't go at all. Rebecca is supposed to pick them up at the
airport. She's excited, she thinks her family is going to be together
again. He doesn't know what to tell her. He tries to cancel his car, but
Nora intercepts the call and tells them nothing's changed. She tells him
to go. She'll get the boxes in the garage, and Holly to New York. She
just needs a few days.

Justin and Annie have a little alone time. A doctor interrupts because
the procedure Justin did was ill-advised, and could lead to a
suspension. He needs to make his case before the medical board. Annie
figures he'll get a commendation for the action he took. She knows a
doctor who has been through the exact same thing, Justin can talk to him
if he wants. He does.

Nora and Holly talk about the move. She's not ready, and David shouldn't
badger her into going if she's not. Nora thinks she should stay. With
Nora. At her house. Nora thinks it's a good idea. They can take the
boxes with them, and Holly can go with them at her own speed, and go to
New York when she's ready.

Jonathan shows up to talk to Saul, who refuses to look at him. Jonathan
wishes there was something he could say, but Saul assures him there isn't.

Kevin and Scotty fill Sarah in on how they handled Paige having a boy
over without their knowledge or permission. They grounded her, unplugged
the wi-fi, and worked on the Ann Frank paper all night. Sarah looks
amused. She can't believe they're making this into such a big deal. She
tells them that the boy in question is Phillip. Paige has known him for
years. He probably bats for their team, though he doesn't know it yet.
She offers them some parents-to-be advice: Relax. They tell her the boy
in question isn't Phillip. His name is Shawn, and they think he's on the
football team since he was wearing a jersey with the number '17' on it.
She is no longer amused. She intends to kill someone.

Nora and Holly took a pre-dawn trip to the farmer's market. Holly
rapidly finds out that she and Nora aren't a very good housemate match.

Sarah fills Kitty in on Paige's escapades. Kitty is going to take Evan
to see Robert's kids, they'll be gone for two weeks. Maybe even longer.
She's not actually sure how long she'll be gone. She hasn't even told
Seth she's going yet. She is revisiting her old life. She knows what
she's doing, and she wishes Sarah could just be happy for her.

Scotty and Kevin are working on the desk. The whole Paige thing sort of
made them nervous. Scotty gets a call from Jill. She has his wallet. He
didn't leave it there - Olivia stole it.

Rick Appleton, cardiology resident, meets Justin and asks how the case
unfolded. Because he was so close to the hospital when he did the
procedure, it doesn't look good. They don't get far, because Rick and
Annie are too busy reminiscing. Her pager goes off, and she heads out.
Rick offers to be Justin's advocate when he goes before the board.

Kevin and Scotty are waiting to see Olivia. Kevin wonders if they should
play 'good cop, bad cop', but Scotty says he feels more like 'hurt and
confused cop'. Jill brings in Olivia and leaves them so they can have
some privacy. She sasses off, big attitude, claiming she doesn't want
them to be her parents. Bursting into tears, she runs out, claiming she
is going to tell Jill she doesn't want to be with them for a weekend or
ever.

Paige gets home, and Sarah has a chat with her about what happened.
Sarah asks her several direct questions, and she refuses to answer. She
won't defend herself, and loses her cell phone privileges.

Saul is at Scotty's when Jonathan arrives. Saul tells him that he
doesn't know if he wants forgiveness or absolution, but whatever it is,
he's not going to give it to him. Jonathan says they used to be friends,
and he'd like it if they could be again. He admits to how selfish he is,
and always has been. He was wrong, and he won't bother Saul anymore. He
leaves, and Saul looks conflicted.

Holly and Nora visited the emergency room when Holly injured her wrist.
Now they're making supper. Nora would like to do colonics tomorrow.
Holly is really angry. She's not one of Nora's radio cases. Holly thinks
she figured it out. Nora is trying to drive her crazy so she'll go
screaming to New York. Holly walks out.

Kevin and Scotty go talk to Sarah because they don't know how to process
what happened with Olivia. Sarah reassures them that this isn't about
them. It's about Olivia, because she doesn't know how to trust. Hers has
been broken so many times. Paige comes home and apologizes to Kevin and
Scotty for having the boy over. He thinks he might be gay and would like
to talk to Kevin and Scotty about it. Sarah asks about Phillip, and
Paige says no. He has a girlfriend.

Seth is hurt and angry about Kitty leaving. He thought they had
something, and now she's just up and leaving. She doesn't want him to
visit, either. At least not to start with. He thinks it's about his age,
and she says it's true. She wants him not to leave upset, but he says
that's not going to happen, and leaves.

Justin thanks Rick for his help, but wants to know if he did it to help
Justin, or impress Annie. He did it to help, and it did. Justin's record
is cleared.

Nora finds Holly going through the boxes, and apologizes for pushing her
so hard. Holly thanks her for waking her up and making her think. It's
not that she's not ready, it's that she is terrified. What if David only
wants her to move there because he feels responsible for her. What if
she's never any better? Nora gives her a lot of positive feedback,
regardless of what Holly does or doesn't remember.

Holly thinks she'll ship the boxes to New York and go through them
there. Nora doesn't feel that idea makes any sense. There's a smaller
box, and Nora finds a picture of herself inside. Holly figures William
left it there. Nora picks up the small box and tells Holly she has an
idea what she can do with the boxes. Holly says she's all ears.

They have a bonfire. She's going to start over with a clean slate. Burn
it all. The past is the past, let it go. Nora refuses to help. This is
Holly's past.

Saul greets Jonathan at the outreach center and apologizes for being
rude the day before. He talks to him about Kevin and Scotty, and how
much things have changed. He tells Jonathan he forgives him. Too many
people died before they had the chance to say the words. Some things are
unforgivable. What they had together wasn't. Saul knew Jonathan was a
drunk, but he ignored it. They part on good terms.

Kevin and Scotty talk to Olivia about actions, consequences, and how
things will be. She's scared, but they figure they will be a family, and
they'll work everything out together.

Sarah, Justin and Nora are helping Holly leave for the airport. Sarah
tells her if she wants a job, she should call. Justin asks her to say hi
to Rebecca for him. Saul is late, but tells Holly he goes to New York
twice a year, and he will take her to the theater every time. Holly and
Nora are last, and she's finally off.

Kitty is talking to Evan's caregiver before she leaves. She says her
good-byes to Evan.

Saul and Nora are watching a film from the box. Nora was dating someone,
and William was having her watched, or followed.
