being a handyman is knowing how to use a glue gun.

reacting on the phone to a boy asking her out. She asks Luc for $50, but
won't say why, so he says no and she goes silent.
Scotty, Kevin and Olivia go over the adoption papers. Olivia can read
quite well since Scotty and Kevin got her a tutor and quiz her every
5-10 seconds. Kevin's middle name is Herbert, and she thinks that's a
hoot. All they have left is an appearance before the judge, but that's a
formality. They're a family now. No more weekend visits. Once Jill
leaves, Oliva creates the outgoing voice mail message.
Sarah and Nora flew to DC to visit Kitty. Nora doesn't understand why
Kitty went to DC for ten days and has been gone for six weeks. Sarah
snoops through Kitty's email. Nora says there's kale in the fridge, but
Sarah knows she hates kale. She goes upstairs to snoop in the bedroom.
Pay dirt. Cologne on the nightstand. She's seeing someone. Kitty arrives
home with Evan, and Nora and Sarah yell "surprise!!"
Kitty puts Evan to bed and rejoins her family. She's loving her stay in
DC, so she thinks she'll stay longer. They fill her in on what all she's
missed by not being home. When she goes in the kitchenn, they talk about
her behind her back some more. Nora thinks Kitty is working for the CIA.
Luc eavesdrops on Paige on the phone. He hears her say she likes Luc
when he acts like a friend, but right now he's acting like a dad. She
ends her call to do her homework, as Luc ordered.
Scotty and Olivia are creating gecco town. Scotty seems to be sliding
out of dad mode, and into friend mode. Olivia also appears to be bonding
with Scotty better than Kevin.
Zach wakes up to Justin having night terrors. Justin is defensive, he
doesn't want to hear that he may have PTSD. Zach leaves him be.
Justin's keeping an eye on Brody's dog while Nora is out of town. His
ambulance partner tells him that there's an opening for a building
manager, so Zach could live there rent-free instead of bunking with
Justin. Justin doesn't want to hear it, since Zach is on a regimen now.
Kevin shows Luc all the stuff he bought Olivia, and asks if he wants a
few for Paige. Luc tells him Paige is beyond that stage. They
commiserate about dealing with daughters. Luc is thinking about calling
Sarah, but Kevin advises against it. Luc gets a text from Sarah to give
Paige the money, she'll explain when she gets home. Kevin advises him
not to, that he's in charge.
Nora is stuck on believing that the Langley Kitty referred to is where
the CIA is headquartered. Sarah calls Luc and finally tells him Paige
needs the money for a bra, but please don't tell Paige she told him.
She's embarrassed enough as it is. Nora and Sarah spy on Kitty as she
speaks to a man at the supermarket. It does appear that they are agents,
when they switch bags. Kitty finally agrees to be honest, but Nora is
way off base. It was the bag switch. Dale, the "agent", and Kitty are
taking a sign language class with their sons. He returns her basket to
her and retrieves his own.
Now she tells them the truth. She's seeing a specialist. There's a
complication with her bone marrow. His name is Dr. Langley, if they want
to Google him. She's on steroid treatments and an organic diet. She's
said everything she wants to say on the matter.
Kevin thinks Gecco City is Olivia's response to her fears about all the
changes in her life. Scotty agrees to talk to her when she's done with
her tutor.
Justin continues with his on-edge and angry behaviors.
Luc has his hands full with a devastated Paige. She was all dressed up
for the dance, when Cody called and canceled. He asked Stephanie. She
said no first, but she has changed her mind. She thinks Cody just asked
her as a joke, and runs to her room, sobbing.
The place Evan's party is scheduled at is full. Kitty is freaking
because she can't think of any solutions. She tells Nora to stand at the
door and tell everybody that Kitty screwed up. Sarah tells Nora about
Paige.
Zach tries to talk to Justin when he gets home. Justin agrees to talk.
He thinks he has a problem. He's had this recurring nightmare since he
was a kid. It predates his tours. He's supposed to save everyone, and he
can't. That's when he wakes up screaming. Zach thinks he's the reason
Justin is having the nightmare again. Justin's partner told Zach about
the building job. He called the guy. The job is his if he wants it. So
he doesn't have to worry about saving Zach. That's one down, Justin says
ruefully.
Luc and Paige talk about how to get over a broken heart. He has an idea
for what they can do after dinner. He has 14 eggs. Does she know this
boy Cody's address? "What?" "Yeah. Ohhh, yeah."
Scotty and Kevin talk to Olivia in Gecco City. They set her fears to
rest, and she reads them a story before bed.
Kitty talks to Nora. She sits down and locates the cologne under the
cushion, where Sarah shoved it. It's Robert's. It comforts her. Nora
promises to be there for Evan if anything happens to Kitty. After a bit
of discussion, Kitty agrees that all of them need to go home, herself
included.

fort. Olivia lets them know that she took her fort down.
Sarah catches up with Paige about the dance. She wants Luc to go to a
Father/Daughter dance at school next month. He's honored. Sarah's
relieved they're getting to be a family.
Nora notices that something is wrong with Justin. He doesn't know how
she takes care of everybody without having a nervous breakdown. She
tells him you can't save everybody, she learned that from him.
The Walkers have Evan's party, and Olivia meets everyone. Kitty and Evan
arrive, and he's overjoyed to see Kevin. Paige and Olivia get
acquainted. Justin helps Evan break his birthday pinata.
