So we actually got to see The Kiss. I was beginning to think they weren't going to show what happened, but I think it was probably best that we were able to hear both sides and start to come to our own conclusions and then see "what really happened." Also, it was strangely nice to see Sarah and Joe yell at each other; I haven't put my finger on exactly why that was satisfying–maybe that they were finally getting everything out in the open?
And Nora - are we supposed to be rooting for her to hook up with this sleazy guy? I was rooting for her to follow through with the sexual harassment thing in the office, cringing when she was falling for his schtick at the restaurant, thanking God when she caught on, and then rooting for her to hang up on him when they were on the phone. (I really don't like him, I guess.)
Kitty's proposal was much better in the show than in the promos. It made sense that she would be reevaluating her life after a brush with death and to so immediately and amusingly (she actually said that she was going to throw up? ) back off from the proposal made its too-soon timing acceptable. |

I really liked this episode. I was convinced Joe was a cheating bastard during the entire episode, but like mother like daughter. Now I really feel bad for him and for the rest of the family who think Rebecca's the victim.
After Nora caught on to the professor always taking his dates to the restaurant I figured she's a smart enough person to never see him again, but I guess not. You'd think after all of the issues with her first husband, she'd want to steer clear of the sleasy man-w***e types.
And I agree -- Kitty's proposal was waaaay better than the promos chalked it up to be, and it fit her personality perfectly. Then again, I am a hopeless romantic, so that may swaying my opinion more than anything.
Kevin playing Connect Four with his niece was very cute as well. |
