Trying to get the family back to normal, Nora decides to invite her deceased husband's illegitimate love child, Rebecca, to a family dinner. Later, Nora has a romantic encounter with a college professor. Meanwhile, Senator McCallister gives Kitty a surprise introduction that leads Kitty and the Senator to rethink their relationship.

18 :01x18 - Three Parties

Nora's love life begins to look up when her intelligent, charming professor asks her to a faculty event. Kitty is sent to Senator McCallister's hometown to interview people who knew the Senator, including his high school sweetheart, and Sarah tags along for a weekend away. Meanwhile, Chad is able to come to grips with his sexuality -- at Kevin's expense -- and Justin steps up as an older brother in order to protect his half-sister, Rebecca.

19 :01x19 - Game Night

The Walker family goes head to head with long-time rivals, the Jones family, for game night rematch. Rebecca is invited to play as a Walker and during the game, the Walkers begin to bond with her as a sister. Meanwhile, Kitty introduces Kevin to Senator McCallister's brother, Jason, but soon regrets doing so.

20 :01x20 - Bad News

Nora shifts between elation and reluctance when asked to go on a date with Mark, her professor, especially with the unique way he asked her out and her realization that Mark often takes dates to the restaurant he takes her to. Meanwhile, Sarah has a tough time dealing with her husband's alleged cheating, and Kitty and Robert reach an impasse following a tragic accident.

21 :01x21 - Grapes of Wrath

The family comes together for the opening of Tommy and Holly's newest business venture -- a vineyard. Nora and Mark's relationship continues to grow, but Mark makes a potentially devastating mistake when he kisses Holly.

22 :01x22 - Favorite Son

The Walkers are heartbroken as they prepare to shut the doors of Ojai Foods for good, but new opportunities and secret alliances develop as a result of the family's loss.

As the Walkers try to cope with the sadness and financial ruin that lingers as a result of the closure of Ojai Foods, they discover a small ray of hope in one of William Walker's many secret investments. One year after the car crash, the Walker family welcomes home Justin after he returns from the war in Iraq. To make matters worse, Nora isn't the same mother that Justin knew when he left.
