  Episode Quotes
(When Alan pulls a gun to rob the Point After)
Alan: I'm serious. Don't try to prove you're a man.
Donald: I'm more man than you'll ever be and more woman than you'll ever have.

Penny: I couldn't help but notice...
Alan: I know, I'm blind.
Penny: No. You're cute as hell.

Cliff: (singing) Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the park. Buy me some hot dogs and chili beans. Don't sit too close if you know what I mean.

  Cultural References
Kelly: If you put it with the $20 you gave Cliff, that's the $50 the till was short the other night.
Alan: Hey, who are you? Angela Lansbury?

The star of Murder, She Wrote.

Joe: (discussing Alan) He's been a model employee.
Melissa: Of course, that's his M.O. First he gets someone to take him in, and then he plays on their sympathies, and then before you know it, you're the Philippeans and he's Marcos.

Ferdindand Marcos (1917-1989), former president/dictator of the Republic of the Philippeans. Unable to seek office again in 1972, he declared martial law and remained in power until ousted by the election of Corazon Aquino in 1986.

Donald: I'm more man than you'll ever be and more woman than you'll ever have!

This line was originally used by a gay character in the 1977 film Car Wash.
