Episode Quotes

Wendell: I don't know what to say about that.
Xander: There's nothing to say. You saw two hundred insects, you gonzoed. Anybody would have.
Wendell: They're not insects. They're arachnids.
Xander: They're from the Middle East?

Xander: It'll be faster if we split up to look for her.
Giles: Good idea.
Willow: Uh, faster, but not really safer.

The Master: What's the fun of burying someone if they're already dead?

Buffy: This is a dream.
The Master: A dream is a wish your heart makes. This is real life.

Willow: When Buffy was a vampire, you weren't still, like, attracted to her, were you?
Xander: Willow, how can you... I mean, that's really bent! She was...grotesque!
Willow: Still dug her, huh?
Xander: I'm sick. I need help.
Willow: Don't I know it.

Episode Goofs

In the opening scene, it is obvious that the Master's fake thumbnail is falling off.

At the start of the episode when Buffy is having a conversation with Willow in front of her locker, the locker door alternates from being open to shut between shots.

If Buffy was a vampire, then technically she shouldn't have been able to walk into the hospital in broad daylight.

Cultural References

The Master: A dream is a wish your heart makes.

This is a line from a song in the 1950 Walt Disney masterpiece, Cinderella.

Billy: I had the strangest dream. You were there, and you were there.

Possibly a reference to The Wizard of Oz. This is what Dorothy says upon waking up from her dream.
