James Lurie played the teacher Mr. Miller in "I Only Have Eyes For You" and "Anne" as well as playing hangman with his class ("They always go for the 'E'").

When this episode originally aired, the first ever trailer for Angel was shown. It lasted only four seconds with Boreanaz turning towards the camera, and the words "Angel. This Fall" appeared.

When Angel is shot in the back with the poisonous arrow by Faith, a large sign she's stanced behind says "Sun", a common killer of vampires.

Xander: Guess who our commencement speaker is?
Willow: Sigfreid?
Xander: No.

Giles: Yes, very convenient.

The Mayor: Mmm. My God, what a feeling. The power of these creatures. It suffuses my being. I can feel the changes begin. My organs are shifting, merging, making ready for the Ascension. Plus, these babies are high in fiber. And what's the fun of becoming an immortal demon if you're not regular, am I right?
