Acceptable Loss - Recap

The scene opens with Michael and Madeline at the grave of Frank Westen, Michael’s father. She says that she remembers Frank asking about Michael before he died. She says that they used Frank to get to him. Madeline is going away to get away from this. She says that Michael has to do whatever he has to in order to take down Anson. Michael goes home to find Fiona there. She says that Barry found Anson’s money. They go to the law offices and Michael distracts a woman and borrows her ID. Fiona comes up dressed like the woman and goes inside. They get in and start looking for things on Anson. Instead, they find a file on Vaughn, Michael’s old enemy. The file was active two days ago and still is. They need to find him to get ahead of Anson.

Sam comes to the loft and says that Vaughn is in a prison and that they have to get to him. Michael calls Jesse to see if he can talk to his security team to help him. He says that he will. Jesse meets with an old friend, Ian, and he says that he needs to take down a man named Yash. With Diplomatic cover, Yash has been smuggling Blood Diamonds inside the country. However, Ian doesn’t want to be part of it anymore and says that Yash is killing people. He says that he needs to get the evidence on him. Jesse says that he will check it out and warns Ian that he could lose his pension for this and possibly go to jail. Ian says that he doesn’t care. He tells him that Yash is meeting with a client in an hour.

Later, Sam is with Jesse and Ian and they watch Yash meet with a client. They listen as they make the deal. Ian asks what is going on and asks when the deal is going down. They tell him that the deal is going to happen tonight and that doesn’t give them enough time. They realize that they are going to have to rob the client. Michael goes up to Pearce and says that he needs to talk to Vaughn. She asks why he wants to talk to him so much. He says that it is just routine and promises her. She gives Michael a mountain of paperwork. Meanwhile, Fiona tells Sam that Yash’s client is coming his way. However, Sam sees that the police are writing him a ticket. Fiona has a plan and follows the guy. He is forced to a parking garage and Sam steals the car and the money. Fiona and Sam drive away. Afterward, Jesse meets with Michael with Ian and Michael says that it is impossible. Jesse asks what it would be like if they only had to escape. He says that it is possible to go out the back and get out. Michael says that he has to go to Tampa to meet with Vaughn.

Michael meets with Vaughn at the prison and he asks about Anson. He says that he wants to offer a deal of making his life better. Michael gives him the paper and Vaughn says that is makes sense. Meanwhile, Jesse and Ian meet with Yash and he introduces Jesse. He says that he wants to help him. Yash agrees with him and tells Ian to go home. Yash meets with Jesse and he says that he is a cautious man and asks to see his facility. Jesse tries to tell Yash that he doesn’t want to show him, but he is persistent. Jesse calls Sam, who is in the middle of trying to get his RV fixed from being shot up. Jesse tells Sam that he is going to need to get a jewelry store that cuts their own diamonds. Sam says that he knows a woman who would be able to help them out. They go to the store and tell the owner that they will pay her $20,000 to allow them to use their store. She tells them that she doesn’t want to, but Fiona pulls out a gun and they agree. Yash and his associates come up with Jesse. Sam tells them to come in and Yash asks to see their cutting tools. He goes in the back and finds the owner and Fiona back there. He says that they can do business.

Michael is with Vaughn again and has the scotch that he wanted. Vaughn says that the file has a lot of good things and asks for Full Immunity. He says that he doesn’t have that power. He says that he has a lot to lose in the files and says that he better show him what he can do. Meanwhile, Fiona and Sam sneak in and find that the wall that they have to blast though is reinforced with steel. Inside, Jesse and Ian go into Yash’s office. Jesse goes around front and yells at the security detail and tells them that he needs to talk to Jesse. They tell him to stop and Sam distracts them long enough to allow Fiona to put a C4 brick underneath Jesse’s Porsche. Inside, Jesse is about to inject Yash with the sedative when the car explodes. They go outside and Sam tells Jesse that Yash is setting them up because they found listening devices in the store. Jesse tells Sam that the Porsche was on lease and Sam says that they have all that money and he can buy himself a new one.

Later at a bar, Ian tells them that he can’t believe that they have to walk away from this. Michael says that there isn’t any way of getting the evidence. Ian tells him that they can take him down by getting him arrested for murder. He says that he is going to make Yash kill him. They say that is a dumb idea, but Ian tells them that he has pancreatic cancer and has six months or less to live. Jesse tells him that it is a crazy plan, but agrees with him on the way he wants to go out. Ian says that he wants this to be the one thing that he did good in his life. Jesse meets with Yash later and says that the listening device that he found was one that Ian put in his house. Yash tells him that Ian wouldn’t do that and Jesse tells him to call up Ian and tell him to meet them at the house. Yash calls and tells him to meet him at his residence. Jesse tells Yash that they have to keep this private because they don’t know who else is involved. Meanwhile, Michael gives him bullets that will set off Jesse’s blood packs and he will play dead while he runs away. Ian can tell that Michael is not happy with this and he says that he doesn’t understand it. Ian says that he is making the terms of his own demise.

Ian gets to Yash’s house and asks what they want. Jesse tells him that he is setting them up. Ian reaches for the gun and shoots Jesse. In the commotion, Ian gives the gun to Jesse and runs out the door. Yash follows him and shoots him. The police arrive and arrest Yash for murdering Ian. Jesse comes up and tells Michael that it was good that he got to go out on his terms. Later, Michael goes to the prison and meets with Pearce. He tells her that fragments of his past are back and that he is dealing with them. He tells her to trust him and goes into see Vaughn again. He shows Vaughn that he got him transferred. Vaughn says that is not good enough for his information. Michael also shows that he has transferred Simon into Guantanamo with Vaughn and Vaughn tells Michael the truth about what is in the file. He says that Anson is rebuilding the organization of burned spies and that Michael can’t stop him. Michael walks away and Vaughn asks about their deal. Michael says that he can’t help him. The episode ends.
